Hey! You're doing all the right things, so just keep at it. Light, anatomy, perspective, it's all important, but you know that. Keep doing studies from photos and life and even anatomy textbooks (as you seem to be doing already).

You're doing the right stuff, more more!
Figure studies are coming along nicely. Perhaps do some really quick ones from time to time.
Also, on that portrait from post #9, the one eye between the eyes proportions is a bit off, making it look strange.
And each eye is looking in a different direction.

Are you working from life as well? I wasn't to enthusiastic about it at first, but it really pays off.
It is a totally different feeling, than working with photo ref. In a good way.

Studying anatomy is a great start but make sure to balance it with some of the stuff you want to create. Please check out my sketchbook and feel free to comment. I would greatly appreciate it.

Pretty good start in anatomy, try to be aware of drawing/painting/observing too fast. Take some time for the bodies etc and just get a hard pencil (which is only slightly drawable) and draw more movement lines, that would help you I think. Keep it up anyway.
Maybe you need to grip the pencil a bit behind, I started taking it pretty near to the tip, maybe just get 3-4 cm distance to the paper with your drawing hand. try to work more from your elbow, less from your wrist. Looks like, doesn't has to mean that you ARE working like that. Had that problem for years and boom! it was blown away with just some better holding technique of the pencil

Definitely try it, other people or yourself. In the mirror, or actually looking
at body parts. I actually find it more fun and the fact that 'it can move' has its charm.

Those are from imagination? Sweet! They have good flow. But then again, what i have issues with these flow exercises is that i can't work on top of them, add details and make a refined final peace, which has that good flow that i started with.
So be careful how you construct, don't fool yourself and try to take some of these to a finl stage. If you know what you're doing, then please share! I still get cot in that hook.

The figures from the last update are definitely bridgman. You can sense it in the shape. So my 2bits would be, think of what you're construction, find relationship between shapes, think of the proportions(some have big head) and try to construct, based on what you see.

ps : do not say about your art is bad , every single succeful artist has been in this level , just keep working hard , and surely you'll be awesome someday
anyway , about your studd, you have a good sketchbook here , i like the hand studies , they really looking great and i want to tell that it's not the time to learn the shading & light techniques , i suggest todraw from life or photographes & and do alot of Anatomy studies
i recommend to read andrew loomis boooks

The placement of the head is to far to the left or the right. If you take of the shoulders, they are really big compared with everything else. This is in perspective, but the figure on the right for example, has them almost like a whole back view. Also, you seem to construct a very large chest area, and then the waist is really thin and top far down. Lower body part looks really good! I really like how it turned out!
On the creature, i like how it is turning out. Many details on the anatomy. Perhaps consider giving it more developed back legs, to sustain itself better.
