    Divine struggle

    My first post here at CA, and I thought I'd come in strong.(for me, anyway)
    Digital painting is still pretty new to me, but i suppose its good to get what I lack out in the open. :)

    Hi.... welcome here!!!

    besides it need some more work, the rendering is good... but before working in the colours, I think you could review the figure... the position he is shows that is going to fall in the floor. If he is going to strike... his left leg should be turned to the observer, in front of the right leg... also, his left hand seems that it is not holding the sword, it should be in the oposite position of the right hand...

    Way too much black. For the smoke in the background it's fine, but out in the open like that there's no way his shadows would get that dark. Light bounces off of stuff, and out in the day light from the sun and sky is bouncing from the ground back up at things. his shadowed side would still be light due to the light bouncing off the ground.
