Hi Adrian!
Good tempo in your studies here, loads of figures and I see you're doing some box exercises.
It's something I really felt made things click for me with the form, to start re-drawing the figures with boxes.
Great job on this weeks IDW, very clear concept and a sweet idea.

Nice enviro A bit sketchy here and there (I rarely like when thin strokes are visible) and it gets empty and boring at the very right but I really like it in general. Due to the colors and details, it's interesting to look at. It still have a bit "background" feel, the mentioned planned characters could help indeed I think. And some more refinement. It's a pity you started this EOW piece late.

challenge, mainly one of the 7 deadly sins, this is suppose to be wrath.

so i just got back from class with around four hours before i have to go out
to work again dam night shift, any way im like what will i be doing during this time?
play a computer game? watch a video? then i was faced with the question how
much do you wanna do this art thing inside my head hundreds of voices asking,
my simple reply was lets just draw no matter how futile maybe one day i maybe
rewarded weather it be a drawing/painting only i will love like a gift from GOD or
some one turns around and says hey man wanna draw something for me?
who knows just stuck in this constant struggle of life its some times
hilarious how the mundane can be just as pinnacle as the important stuffs.

all from imagination speedy speedy speedy . . . .
this is all i can probably do this week due to work and exams next week.

train ride jams + also after work this morning the down town train station magazine kiosk had
two year old cheap magazines for sale for $2.50AUD each, so i bought an old
hair style magazine to practice more faces which clearly i need work with

Just got back from work, im so freaken tired LOL any way

heads where done at work b4 i started slaving away.

trying to think outside the box, a speedy around 3 hours, thus far.
i really actually wanted to go fantasy with this weeks EOW topic
where a meat wagon of corpses are dumped
into the river and the spirits of the dead are floating in the water creating the glow, but i cant
get the composition figured out to well.

Wanted to paint with acrylics for a couple of weeks now,
finally found some time this morning and did a few paintings,
got frustrated with doing portraits so i went all out even jamming
a finger in the eye once or twice covered in paint ,making it a totally organic fun time..
the landscape needs work again when i find time i'll work on it some
more. now for a neck break. . ..

So this is for the dreamscape activity over at
Gnomon forum, only a few hours in, the due date is, i assume
March 31. so i still have about half a day due to work and school to
really give this my full attention.


background needs lots of work the castle at this point is just an idea generator
but i like the sort of story already i usually don't work in grey scale so this is fun.

And the final, made the age old mistake of flattening the image and saving!
lol that's why i cant get my dark guide lines to go lighter, learned tons and had fun
with this.

Sweet sketchbook!

In this last piece, try to focus on big shapes first. Like huge areas. Define the form, THEN later on focus on textures and whatnot. As you get more used to seeing in giant shapes, you can incorperate textures earlier. But right now everything is feeling flat and a little muddy.

I'm pretty exhausted today, had the day off yesterday, working tonite,
any way bought Doug Chiang's Mechanika and came up with the following
speed painted it, but the idea is there. also relised i now need to buy markers
and ellipses.

I can definitely see improvement since the start of this sketchbook, it'll be great to see your progress through this year. just make sure you keep it up at this rate
