I think you are trying a little too hard. Lossen up a little bit and just let the pencil marks flow from your head to the page, dont let your hand get in the way. I think you started doing that with the hair, i love the hair. Keep it up. (I know its not actually pencil, but its just easier to generalize).

those eyes are real nice, too. but don't do the outlining, do shading of the form first. the outline is way to overworked.
