I love how you really jam those gestrures and faces together. Great work.
You'll see more pencils from me as well, soon.

new page? AWESOME!
cgaddict - heh , thanks mate! Yeah , I try to keep myself entertained in between the boring studies , so I do monsters and stuff like that , because I don't have to think about them hah
Klaustrophil - Hey , Thanks man! I'm glad you like the studies , but actually they pretty shit in my opinion , I've always had a problem with proportions . I think it's because I get hung up on various details and don't pay attention to the whole imageBut hey , thanks for stopping by
TNiznet - Thanks , bro! I'm glad you like it!
Christoffer - Hah , Thanks a lot man! I basically do whatever valuable thing in terms of progress comes to mind . Right now it's faces and gestures , because I suck so bad at that , the hands are for warming up and the monsters are just for me ^^
Thank you so much for the comments guys!
okay , so unfortunately I'll have to start this page with this pathetically small update
some quick and pretty random face thingIt was just for fun
study
and a WIP , I'm just having fun with this one for now , about 2 hours so far

hello again!!
Georgi - Thanks , man! Благодаря ти пич !
Ok , so it's been a while since my last post... so much shit happenedFor a week I was at my village where my grandfather and me where taking out honey from his bee hives and I got stung 3 times by random bees. One of them got my right hand and it swell like 3 times the size , it sucked so bad , I couldn't grab a bottle , let alone a stylus...so I was off duty for 3-4 days , 'till my hand was better. The sucky part was that after it was better it was still pretty tight and I didn't have the same flexibility as before...so yeahh , I needed to work that out too. So i finally got my rythm back and cousins from out of town came to visit , so basicly now I can do artsy stuff early in the morning and really late at night...the rest of the time I'm a babysitter
Damn. Anyway...here's a bit of the stuff over the last days
random sketches ( sorry about the lighting and the quality again , photocamera :| )
First digi thing I did after my hand got unswollenhorrible , isn't it?
some other study
aand some other unfinished study
only two things from mind I'm afraid...pathetic , I know..
some chick portrait , turned out pretty bad
and an environment , which I kinda even liked
I gotta get into gear![]()
Nice updates! Loving the colors of your last two pieces, just beautiful.

Nice updates, loving all the variety in your studies.
ahha super solid studies, I like your use of color! You'll improve even more in no time at this rate.![]()
Great updates bro! that first 15 minute study looks amazing. Also wanted to say, I check out your sketchbook every time for updates, even though I may not leave comments frequently.
Take Care.
If you have a moment, Help me improve with critiques. thank you Sketchbook
Awesome sketchbooks

Wooooow, it's been way too long since I've stopped by. Your work is looking great! Your productivity and enthusiasm continue to be a huge inspiration![]()
Your anatomy, faces, environments--you name it, everything is showing improvementYour faces in particular are not only getting better in general, but they're showing a lot more variation. Your photo studies are also coming out really well, and it's clear in your work from imagination that you're learning a lot from them.
As far as individual critiques go, the textures on the dragon piece are really well done, particularly on his left (our right) horn. The use of motion blur/depth of field to blur out the wings was a great choice (I have a problem in my work of making everything equally sharp <<). I do get the feeling that given how close the wings seem to be to the viewer, the blur effect might not be quite so pronounced, especially since the tail seems to be in just as much focus as the wings and it's farther away. Another thing that could help convey the flapping motion of the wings would be to show the wing membrane fanning out above or below the front of the wings, depending on which way they're flapping. I really hope this made sense and wasn't just a bunch of rambling XD
Really marvelous improvement here. Keep up the hard work and you'll only keep getting better![]()
TNiznet - Thank you so much man! It feels great to know that someone is interested in my work personally
Meps - Wow , thank you dude!Yes , I definitely know what you mean with the blur and the tail distance.I was always seeing that when I was painting the thing , but I didn't know how to fix it so I just left it like that.I'll try and follow your advice he next time I do something like that
SO , I'm back... So much happened!! ( weird for the summer,I know) , I just needed some rest I guess. I went on a week long hike in the mountains with my dad.Maan...exhausting , but AMAZING!!!mountains , rivers , vistas , huts , stones , trees , branches , grass ...and many more good stuff.just awesome.Every day 9-10 hours walking my legs were sore like crazy ( blisters , wounds , blood , you name it) , but the feeling of sitting down after that , drinking some much needed water , get a fire started and sketching for fun is just BWAH!!
anyway.
unfortunately I don't have much to offer, like I said I was taking something of a rest.
Here's a wip I'm working on...so far from what it should be , yet I'm getting tired of it...we'll see...( oh yeah , I did some steps to see my progress up until now)
a sketch of an old man while sitting in the hut with nothing better to do
My dad and I stopped next to a small river to make camp.I did this 'till the sun went down. You can see the can boiling some water for the teathe sketch took me about two hours I think. adjusted some levels in photoshop too

Awesome sketchbook, man. I went through the whole thing. You sell yourself too short on the work you do, but it seems to keep you going so hey. You've done far, far.. far more than I did at 17, or 18.. or 19...
Just remember to change things up now and then and keep challenging yourself. Keep going at this rate and I expect spectacular things from you.
+ Sketchbook +
That last sketch is looking brilliantSketching from life is something that I need to do a lot more of. Your hiking trip sounds like it was a lot of fun!
Lost Shock - Thank you for your your faith man
Meps - Yeaah , it really was! You should really try it if you haven't already. After some time you get a bit different kind of appreciation for nature when you paint it than trees there , light there , birds there...painting done. There's something more to it and I think you can only find it in life
first some sketches ( from worst to best in my opinion )
some kind of a sea creature...I dunno , I was really bored an tired , although I guess that's not an excuse...Amazing people like Kekai would do better shit when they are bored an tired...so skill skill skill
all from mind
oh yeah , again please excuse the quality of the pics...photocamera
a digi sketch - me and Victoria were doing quick 20 min sketches together and for this one we had to draw our self as the opposite sex...
a dragon born from a 20min sketch, I put in an hour more after that
environment speedy thumbnails - trying to get my colors right and also I was really thinking about getting the image to read without too much details in , I think that's an essential skill in painting
and I think I may be done with the swamp guy... OI call it : " Guy in swamp "
and btw 1 COMMENT AND I HIT 200 POSTS , COME ON AND COMMENT! IF THE COMMENT IS A CRITIQUE YOU GET A COOKIE!!
Hey man, okay so the dragon a few posts up. I looks good, but one opportunity you misted out on with the texture is using it to show form. If you took that rake brush or whatever, I think I saw a rake brush, and wrapped it around the form, imagine it almost like wrapping a string around it. That kind of textural stuff, really helps, to push the image that much further, and helps to convey your message that much better...the message being it big scary dragon of course...
Anyway good work overall, everything is improving which is awesome. So keep it up.
Sketchbook | Website |
Psychobuddy - Thanks a lot for the c&c man!! you're absolutely right about the rake brush , I need to think about that stuff in the future.
first watercolor sketch I've done since early childhood. Needless to say I suck awesomely at it , but it was super fun and soooooooooo much different than photoshop
![]()
and something for the fitness freaks
![]()
ok just two things for today
a warm up I did this morning , probably about an hour to looooosen up .God it's so fun to just paint without any kind of thinkingThe only thing I was thinking about is that it should read like some kind of a spaceship when in smaller size.
something I'm working on at the moment, so much stuff to figure out and fix , but I'm learning a ton...it's AWESOME
![]()
You're improving, my friend! Really nice progress going on.
Btw, try to work more on your hatching. Make it more controlled.
Samir - Thanks , man ! I'm actually trying to be more loose with the pencil stuff.
Progress on that last wip
aaaand some pencils ( All from imagination , literally , the turtle sorta just came outThe weird thing is that I wasn't thinking about TMNT at all
)
![]()

Ok , so first I did this horrible sketch , and I found myself disappointed again , because of my lack of knowledge and skillz.
After the realisation , I did some quick eye studies 5-7 minutes each
Then I did some color studies - each one is around 20 minutes except for the first one which is 30
bleh , I'm starting school again tomorrow... damn I wasted my summer again![]()
Ok , so I guess it's time to upload some actual sketchbook stuff too...
