The wine looks good, i would like to try it out. You are improving, moniseur.

super crappy 1 min poses, haven't done those in a whiiiile
sketching heads before exam in school... i messed up both the heads and the exam...damn
sketchbook page, some stuff i like , some i hate
trying to quickly capture screencap motion, trying to put a small amount of detail, but still have the scene be readable

Looking good.
Especially your lines are coming along very nice!
And now push some more anatomy studies and stop doing these lame digitals. A) Take your time for the digitals until your happy with them or B) Use the time for stuff that takes less time. They look too rushed.
Anyways keep going.
All the stuff will come along with time. :3
Nemome - Thanks for the feedback man! Really appreciate it!
anatomy stuffs...all hands from life ( my left hand ) , poses and heads are from mind
I've grouped them two by two A4 pages, cuz i think you don't need to see too much details
sketchbook page fur fun
something I'm having fun with at the moment... got inspired after watching Silent Hill... thinking of doing some pyramid head fan art...definitely would be cool

some hands from life to warm up

Hogarth studies
top of the body now - Heads
These are from reference
and these are from mind
3 still lifes- an onion, an apple ( with some cheesy effects lol ) and a lamp thing painted with full opacity..damn that's difficult
and finally a 2hr 30mins sketch, trying to get an "in-game" kind of feeling. Going to paint a character in the front...or at least i plan to...

That IS quite an apple. I like seeing that many studies of the figure. I've filled a sketchbook or two with anatomy stuff, nowhere near enough to make me any good at it, but it's a step in the direction, so keep going with these! Don't forget to do a longer piece too, to really analyze things. Don't skip on the construction before drawing the features and everything else in, it will save your ass. Just my two cents ;]
razz - Thanks for the feedback man!
riiight...
experimenting again, trying to find something that suits me i guess
30 min brush thing
smudge tool practice, trying to get a more oily look
i don't even know...

Prity amazing improvements since 2011 man, i especially like your line work and anatomy stuff. That smudge tool blue/red monster dude is prity cool too.
Wow man, lots of these are very good! Keep up the good work, i especially like that smudgy blue and red monster and the demon with the beak!
Man, your colours are looking awesome, really energetic stuff.
The girl with the piglike nose - the problem you're having is that her nose is at a wildly different angle than the rest of her face. Her head's not even tilted up enough to see the underside of her chin; to see that much of her nose, you'd see most of her chin's underside. Look at this ref and this ref - the second one has a nose at about the angle of your image, and see the angle of the rest of the head? The features are narrow, very close together, and curved around the face, and the underside of his chin is almost a triangle. The first reference image has a couple of shots closer to the face you painted, but even then, the features are starting to wrap around the head, and you're seeing a little more chin. =)
Hey!!
warburton - Thanks man! I've been trying to improve on my colors, so it feels great with you saying that
Murderotic - Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you like my stuffffffffs
Revidescent - Woah, that's some sound advice, dude! You're right about everything of course. I've always had trouble with the lifted head, but with a lot of work, thinking and returnig to your advices I should be able to do it!
Sooo I haven't updated in a while...Pretty great stuff happening, this has been my busiest month evah and i know it'll get even worse...which is great...
I got my first bigger job offers, got through my exhibit here, I'm soon finalizing my university application stuff and I'm going to have to make that big choice. I think I'm routing towards Norwich, England with Game Art and Design. I'm excited because it also allows you to do traditional studying as well, like live model sketching, or oil painting and such. The bad side is I'll have to take out a loan, that I will reaaaallly hate paying off, but hey! that's life
riight... and about art...
I'll be posting only some of the digital stuffs i've been doing. I'll post some of the more interesting sketchbook pages later
so, some goofing around for a start
trying out some quick character
finished this thing... not a really great result, but it felt good getting it off my chest
I did a collab with a friend ( sketchbook - click! ), it was really fun. The idea of it is : someone sketches something really quick, then the other person takes over for about an hour without any guidance for the direction of the piece, then the first person again and so on. It's very liberating and it feels great! So here is what we did
her
me
her
me
her
me
her
this is where she quit and left me to do whatever I wanted
end result:
and finally two photo studies, first one is about three hours from a beautiful photo made by Errikos Andreou ( around 3 hours ), the second one is of a friends photo that I liked so much I just had to paint ( around 5 hours )

so here's the new batch
horriblistic sketch thing
more sketching around
This is a series of 1 hour paintings I started doing as an exercise. It's great for speed, technique and other stuff, but in the end you still gotta put in the hours to really have a satisfying picture.

I will attempt doing screencap studies of every episode of Game of Thrones ( Composition, lighting, colors and story are awesome ) in order to get better at painting, since I obviously suck waay too much for the time I've been painting. I need some progress NAO! I already showed the first four studies from S01EP01, so here are the rest and a completed card I'll be doing for myself.
Viserys warning his sister not to wake the dragon.
Khal Drogo meeting his future wife Daenerys Targaryen.
The Mother of Dragons unknowingly grabbing for the first time one of her children.
Khal Drogo and Daenerys's first night together.

Nice updates, you're making some really good progress. Loving your determination and dedication as well, you work really hard and it shows with each update. Great discipline. Keep up the great work and keep moving forward!
WOW! Those game of thrones studies are really gorgeous! Your painting is coming along amazingly. What I think you might need some practice in is clothes, your characters and faces are coming along really well, but in some of them the clothes bring down the overall awesomeness of the piece. If you've been on pinterest, thats a great place to find references for interesting more fantasy clothing (especially if you search for whole boards)-http://pinterest.com/search/boards/?q=fantasy+clothes

and heres a good one for loads of pictures of normal people- http://hel-looks.com/20130507_09/
it's too inspiring to look at your work. You have improved so much from page 1.
