You have some really nice stuff in here. I can see a lot of improvement! Especially recently. You're on a really good path doing all of that anatomy work. Keep it up!

Ok , so here's for the past couple of days.Too bad , no sketchbook pages from imagination , though I really must do those , I think it's important.

So , it's been a suuuper lazy week for me!Here's all I did.It's not much , but I learned a lot from it so I'm not That unhappy with my productivity this week.It's all about learning , right?

Great work here! Since you started studying loomis you're head construction has gotten massively better, and I like all of the studies and environment paintings you're doing. Keep it up and you'll just get better and better!

So I did some more stuff on the competition environment , for about 10 mins.I was simply too frustrated with my end result , so I just had to touch some stuff up.I still don't like it , but I don't think I ever will

quick studies , I decided to learn and not do everything like a machine.I tried doing the studies with no sketch beforehand , only with colors while really thinking about them.

So today was a really cool day!I got up like 8h , I walked the dog and I started drawing.I listened to Bobby Chiu podcasts and I discovered Alex Pascenko!! I mean , I knew his name but never his super duper amazing pencil and painting skillz!!! What the hell is this guy's brain made of??Soo cool...so yeah , I looked at his stuff and I just saw just how much my anatomy sucks,So I did more studies.Damn , I'm lazy , I have to do more , but oh well , that's it for now.I really want to learn light and color.Something I'm really not good at , so I did some fast environment studies ( 10-15 mins each? )really focusing on that.Looks like I suck at that too I have to do more. You don't get better with just words though so here's some of yesterday's and today's stuff!

Here's a quick doodle from this morning.Pretty much everything about the face is off.I can't even look at it.I have to do loads more of these.It turned out that painting is quite more different than drawing.Who knew ?!
I was trying to experiment with light and color , but I still can't achieve a strong atmosphere , and that's soo important in a painting


blah...that's it , I've got some studies on the side but they're not worth showing.This post was too little , I need to up my game and draw more!

Thanks a lot for coming by my SB. You seem to be working hard and tackling the hard things (environments etc). Something I would suggest to you is that you would take a bit more careful measurements in the future. I think for example the faces would improve a huge deal if you just took the time to measure.

Anyway great job with this SB.

Btw. I'm really sorry for the dude in the upper right corner.

Mikko Voipio - Yeah , no prob man , I'm sure I'll be visiting it soon again You're right about the measurement thing.I am trying to get used t the face proportions.I need to do more , so I can get the hang of it and I need to really think and not just do.
haha yeah , truly unfortunate for him , but he deserved it ( He slept with my gf )


Ok I was really lazy the last few days and that's why I didn't upload ( not that anybody cares ) I don't feel bad though , because I read a lot of stuff and I learned a lot. For the next week I have to study a lot for school , but I hope that I will be able to draw a good amount a day.So yeaaaah...my life...whatever...blah blah...now for some "artsy" shits ^^
oh btw , I bought myself an awesome A3 format sketchbook and I love it, I've never had so much ROOM!!!I love it , the only bad thing is that my scanner isn't big enough so I'll post camera pics.It looks like it doesn't change the quality THAT much so it'll be ok ^^

Some good things going on in here, the last page of heads is a big improvement. Keep churning them out at the pace you are, and you'll get there in no time
