Off to a solid start and I know I can't wait to see more from you already!
Just one thing: the girl's hair is bothering me. It kind of looks like it doesn't really attach to her head![]()
Thank you muchlyHer hair bugs me aswell, it's too neat. And floats, as you mentioned.
Interesting work... nice imagination on the first, and good perspective on the second.
Keep going![]()

Oh, I love that character in your first post! It makes me laugh. He looks curmudgeonly, yet good-natured.
I also like those small sketches in your last post, you seem to have a good feeling for colour.
Keep it up!![]()

You have nice contours. I think you see shapes very nicely. Some of the drawings feel "flat", which comes from the way your lines always carry the same "weight". I think you could gain more from pushing lead REAL hard into areas of your figure that you are confident of. The "stiffness" you mention comes from not having a flowy gesture. When I do see your gesture lines they look too clean and symmetric. Whereas I was always taught gestures represent asymmetry and action (A&A). Just let your mind go during the gesture phase and release all inhibition. You can always fix proportions afterwards.
Anyhow, I hope none of my advice came off as condescending. I don't mean to be. I couldn't help but notice you are untrained, like I am/was, and also work at an (cardio) office. I hope you continue to work real hard, and keep pushing yourself to do crazier things in art!
Not at all Panda, I value your input! Thank you! I'm still working on those gestures!
I'm sad to see I've been gone so long! Again.
Here we go.
Again.

hey bud, looking good so far, definitely keep up the studies, and then try to impliment them into your own imaginative art.

LePush - Thanks so much, will do! Or try to do!
The first is as finished as it will ever be; the second I want to finish it asap so I can focus on more important things. I'm not sure how to fix his legs and what not.
Both were, stupidly, done from imagination.
The last portraits are of myself from life via mirror. First time working from life, eek.
I'm all for critique![]()

Nice stuff. Your colors are nice and clean and you have some great shading. I don't really have any tips, keep it up!

Wow, nice life studies! I like the presence of motion in the poses sketches! Keep up the good work!
