    The Raging Spaniard

Well, finalized design drawing of an old character/ alter ego of mine. THE RAGING SPANIARD, vigilante artist, wielding his trustworthy T-Square of Justice in hand he embarks on the adventure of Art College awaits for him in the United States. There he shall meet and face al sorts of challenges, from the reference heavy comic book artists, to the very loose and "liberal" fine artists. All this whle remaining mildly confused because of the language barrier and doing flips and uneven jumps all over the place. Other maneuverable weapons include the X-Acto knives of truth and combinations of other uber-deadly art supplies (McGiver? anyone?)
Done all in pencil, then tweaked around a bit in good old Photoshop (I wanna get Painter, but no luck so far)
Please, anything that bothers you about the picture, design or drawing wise, lemme know since im really open to critiques

Hope you like it! (first time i post finished stuff here... kinda nervous
    )

I find it very nice actually. Very nice lines.

upper body and legs look seperate. And the coat is not the onl reason for this Further the spine doesnt really emphasize the action you had in mind. I guess that may be because you actually tried hard to place the figure inside the paper. I don't know if you did but a thumbnail would be helpful beforehand to help you placing the figure in the margins you want with the action you want. I think you already know how the action should be done better. only the TSquare looks inconsistent with your line style. It could use heavier lines here and there. Overall a nice piece. COLOR IT!!
    and thats all..

    Oh, that Tsqaure...
    Allright.
The upper end is wrong perspective-wise (so is the lower, i'll get to that in a sec). The end of it should be more horizontal then it is now. The lower end is just bleh. Firts off, its left side (the one closer to the viewer) should be longer then the other at this angle. Second, those vertical lines you have going along the edge should be stricltly vertical, not slanted. And the further concave curve of it should curve in more, the way it is riht now it is almost facing the viewer.

yeah, I looked back at my thumbnail and originally the figure was a tad more slanted and stretched. Youre right btw, I had a real hard time to fit the legs the way i wanted to! I guess i didnt quite pull it off at the end Ill see what i can do to make the figure look more consistant though
And yes, after reading the t-square crit, i totally agree.. christ i cant believe i didnt notice the lower end was wider than the front end! Perspective is still my weakest point, so i guess i should keep focusing on that aspect of things
So yeah, dead on crits, thanks a lot!
color? id like to.. but time isnt on my side lately... well see..

Very dynamic ! Lots of stuff going on there especially with the jacket. The only thing that bothers me is the lower right part of your piece. Feels like there are too many tangents on top of each other in fact flattening everything. Just 2c
    Welcome !

i see what yu mean, specially the fact that the left leg and the t-square are going in similar directions also harm the composition..mmm.. thanks! I used to have much bigger tangent problemns a couple of years back... thanks for reminding me to keep a look out for them.
oh, checked your site btw, congrats, great diverse stuff in there!
