How could I improve my line quality?

Hey, I'd actually love to see more digitals from you haha...this last one, you've really captured the way the light is falling very well, a little bit of smooth blending and you'd have an extremely successful piece. Keep working hard!

Thanks, my dream is to go to an atelier to study the old masters ways (which doesn't include digital ) so that's a big reason I wont be doing that much more.

I'll work as had as I can

heeey very nice sketchbook, i dont know about everyone but i believe you should work on your fundamentals, its not that digital isnt a medium where you can grow on, but it takes longer, in pencil and paper tha translation of your hand to the line is far better than a tablet, so i think you shouild work on perspective, from the very basics like 1p and 2p perspective, let that perspective translate to your lovely figure skill, i think you already use pixelovely but if you dont start using it, do a class every day if you can, and also work with value so you can get color better when you get back to digital.

i see real potential here, its all about gaining a substantial amount of confidence in your own drawing skills before you step into color and painting that are much more deeper subjets, some reading is in order i suppose all in all awesome work dude, you are 15 right? you got a long road but if you stick to it theres alot of fun you can have hahaha

if you have any questions just read this page http://androidarts.com/art_tut.htm that is the most complete freaking tutorial anyone has written EVER it gets loosely into all of the things i talked about, and more, but still after than you should take that even further, keep having fun cant wait to see more from you!

    keep rocking!

Thanks for all the advice and resources Lionheart.
I just did some 2 point perspective practice and a session of Pixellovely.
I'm not going to post them though, since they were just for practice and I deleted them all

hey glad you are working on it! post it man, we all know that quick figures are not going to be eye-candy but still we want to see! since in a quick figure i can actually look at your process of how you start drawing wich is very, Very important, i didnt say it on that earlier post but i think you should also look into still lifes, read around here and look at what others are doing and what tools they use to improve (thumbnails, quick gestures, super-long/quick studies, still lifes) whats great about this site is that some very skilled people post their process here and theres alot we beginners can learn from that, take a look around the exclusive sketchbook section there are alot of insight of the artists in there and they drop some sweet knowledge from time to time.

Good luck man! keep it up!

thanks for your knowledge, I did some more poses one minute each
and i learned that I need to look at my subject more often.
Also I usually use straight lines rather than curved lines, which doesn't seem good

this is one way of beginig your sketch i believe its called, linear-block in, where you look at the angles your subject shape is making and put marks and lines in those places so you can then start to flesh out the whole figure, always work the big masses first (rotation of the torso, relation of the pelvis Vs the torso) you can look at balance and which one of the leg is bearing the bodys weight you work from there, what you are doing is fine, just remember to build it up a bit more from time to time, its all about focusing on different things in different drawings, you practice line-weight here then values there maybe perspective in another one, but dont try to make it look drop dead gorgeous because you dont have the tools yet to do that, so work from simple to complex and have lots of fun! if youre not having fun what is the point? (even boring practice can be fun if you find the joy in it!)
