    At least one drawing a day---C+C please?

    Hi everyone.
    From this day on, I will be attempting to do at least one drawing a day no matter what
    So I'm going to date this; 6/24/2011 |13 years old
    (age doesn't matter, but just so that later on when I'm older I can just look at it and see how I was)

    I'm working on one drawing right now. so I will post that once I finish.

    Yesterday I went to a Svenskarnas dag gathering, so I drew people around me and what my mom said I should draw (she wanted me to draw trolls). Also I did some blind drawings of my hands, and some non-blind drawings of my hand.

    So here goes the pictures;
    gestures;

    Hands (blind/non-blind)

    Legs (muscle study/skeletal)

    Arms (muscle study/skeletal)

    Trolls

    Things around the house, in random order;
    A frog phone, a candle, next to some magazines and my dads i-pad
    A sheep plush, and a phone charger plug in.

    I'll try to draw things around the house everyday, along with my 'at least one drawing a day'.

    It's really wonderful that you're starting out so young! It's okay if you don't upload every day- but be sure to draw every day and you'll be improving in no time

    I have faith in you buddy, keep going!

    Ahh!
    I slacked off, but I've managed to get 1 drawing a day at least except for a couple days..
    I will get back on track
    But I lost one of my sketch books that had most of my real life drawings in them, so I'll upload some recent ones, but there still aren't much...

    ^not done/it's based of the the sea goblin fish^

    ^random^

    And a super rough digital drawing

    Also, a rough monochrome ringo

    Something I'm working on

    Still drawing everyday, at school mostly.
    No more art class at school, not allowed to take it both semesters but in two years I can get in to IB art.

    /Reading looking through other 14 y/o's journals and seeing people say 'good for their age?' I thought age didn't matter.../
    I'm recording the process for this, here's where I'm at right now:

    Age shouldn't matter, I think people just are impressed with the progress and quality of work from someone younger than themselves. I think your work is really impressive, the improvement since the beginning is really great! If you carry on drawing everyday and improving at this rate you'll be a professional by the time you're my age (which is 19) I just wish I'd had your dedication and skill when I was your age, keep going, you're going places (:

    Cool paintings. Keep up the good work. BTW, don't ignore the ears when painting the face. They can be super important in suggesting head tilt.

    More stuff, I didn't include a lot of pages, because they got blurry (I double side my sketchbook) .

    I found a ref for this so I thought it would be fun haha:

    First /almost/ serious thing from my imagination in a while, drawing from real life has helped!

    Oldest, and a blanket study:

    The skull drawing from your imagination was really cool!
    I suggest more intense shading contrast? Ebony really helps with that! And for your digital art, I'm no expert, but I read this tutorial on uniformed color palettes and I think it helped a bit. It makes the colors seen not as "default", if you get what I'm saying. Ah, and I used to have really straight lines like you do (no messy sketchiness). I don't know if it's preference, but I find using many messy lines easier for sketching.

    Oh hey! I'm around your age!

    Yeah, I definitely need to work on the contrast, what's a uniformed color palette?
    My lines are straight because I like to block in the subject rather than scribble everything, I don't know if it's better though

    That's cool, I need art friends around my age, I only have one. :p

    I've been working on doing black and white photo studies, I messed up on the first one.
    The first one is done with a "chalk" brush, and the second is done with a circle brush, I wanted to see the differences.

    More stuff
    My goal is to create a portfolio to get into a very nice art college in sweden, Atelier stockholm (and get a good scholarship!). A lot of my favorite artists have or are studying there, och jag kan prata på svenska till du, om du vill
    Actually I'm just learning ;P

    So my tablet has decided to go all wonky on me, which means not that much digital art anymore.
    I'm kind of glad, because I hear traditional media helps a beginner like me way faster.
    Also I'm doing a ton of drawing this summer, so far the only thing I've done today is draw (first day of break)
    A lot of gesture/5 minute poses coming!

    Alright, stuff I did yesterday!
    (sorry, phone pictures; too lazy to run around the house scanning them)

    I was practicing using my shoulder to draw shoulders, and decided to form a head ;p

    This one is from longer ago, a baby angel sculpture in our house

    Pretty sweet stuff man! Let's see how much we can improve this summer. One thing I could see though is maybe improve the quality of your lines, it would really improve your work I think. You got some real nice studies going on in there.
