So I bought Lifestyle Illustration of the 60'swas flipping through and I was inspired by a Coby Whitmore so I was playing around with it today
anyways before I do any more would love some feedback......

I don't really have any authority to be critting you but the thing that stands out to me is that it seems part of the hand is missing, the back of the palm area. Its mostly in shadow on the ref but its there and without it, it looks a little strange imo.

worked on it some more today I like 85% of it...I have a real problem with hands if you look at my work I avoid rendering them at all costs. Like in this one to me they look like palsied sausage links.....why.....rendering hands to me is like Charlie Brown kicking that football I just keep hoping one day it will click....
watch the cheek indented a little too much,and the left eye open a little more
Might want to move the canvas over to get the right hand more into the picture like the source.
And the pinky finger lacks the straight edge of the source.
Like the eyes though.![]()
