    Some Starcraft 2 practices (Protoss)

Hey guys, I did a couple Starcraft 2 drawings for some mileage a month ago. It would be awesome if you guys could give me some crits and how to apply those changes XD

    Hi
    really nice drawings!
the perspective thing is right, but I'm sure you'll fix that.
    To the cartoony side:
Maybe it will help if you try to avoid those hard outlines.
Your colors are nice blended together but I think you can even go a little more darker and lighter to increase the value range.
I do a lot comic stuff too so feel free to look in my sketchbook, there's a forest scene where I had the same issue with the cartoony style.
Then I tried to do some studies or mastercopies of different concept arts and it helped me quite a bit to get rid of that cartoon habit
Anyways, great art - I'm sure you'll get better!

My question is did you do this freehand in photoshop using Wacom or did you draw free hand and then put it in photoshop?

Thank you for posting those pictures too

Thank you for your comments! Getting better is all I want to do! I'm still really bad so I come to you guys for advice. I will work on bringing in more darker/lighter values.

Hey Lokispec23, Protoss are awesome! Props to Blizzard! The entire process was done on Photoshop CS4 with my Intuos 3. But before I start digitally I do practice sketches in my sketchbook and try to get a feel for what I'm going to draw/paint. After I get a kind of feel I start to sketch digitally. For example, here's some digitial zealot sketches I did before starting the one I did at the top.

yeah that's better in my opinion. it tends to look more like concept art. Well done keep at it
I was tortured 2 weeks painting the forest scene in my sketchbook
so always doing a little more in a picture can really make the image a lot better.
