15 minutes a day -- Zoe Xu learns to draw.

I'm turning 30 in the coming May. Always wanted to draw my imaginations down since I was a kid. But I was never able to learn the skill well. Now i'm getting older year after year, I think it's time to pick up the pen and do something.

15 minutes a day is far from the time needed to be a real good artist, but seriously it's all I can do as a beginner. The point is, DO IT EVERY DAY. Since being a writer needs only 15 minutes a day at the beginning, I figure that this theory can be used for other skills as well.

I'll post my practices here everyday. It's not gonna be goodlooking for quite a long time. But I'm trying, and nothing will stop me from trying.

Let's see how far I can get.

Glad to see someone else starting out too Drawing, at the beginning, used to be the most frustrating thing in the world for me... having something in my head and not even understanding the procedure for how to get it out and the result is always so far away and so immature compared to what I was thinking of... It does take a lot of time to learn the 'grammar' of drawing and to get enough mileage to be able to use it... I'm a few years into the learning process, it is very very slow, but it does happen Good luck to you! I'll be stopping by every once in a while to see how you're doing

30 seconds drawing. Did in the morning before going to work, in case I get too tired to draw after work.
Not as good as the first time, I figure it's the positon problem. Last time I did it sitting straight up, this time lean backwards into pillows.

It took me almost 1 hour and still not looking right. So what, I've already tried my best.

More than 90 minutes. But I actually enjoyed it. The combination of simple pot and simple wild flower brings peace to my mind.

Great start mate! Your line work shows some nice form and good control. All signs of someone with a knack for art! Keep doing those studies as much as you can, and as you build up mileage your stuff will come out better and better. I think the way your going with regular practice, you will see huge improvements in a short time. Keep posting!

Ohh, do keep it up! Liking #11 and #12! Try and keep those Loomis studies going where you can, it's very valuable indeed, it'll help with observational skills and of course drawing people a great deal, condensed way to bump your drawing skills hehe. I'll keep an eye on this
