Ah, very nice studies! Thanks for giving me inspiration! I need to loosen up my stiff hand and work with the pen more soft. Yeah, I'll start my doodling right now!![]()

I just took a look through your sketchbook. Your anatomy sketches really improved![]()
Also, these landscape concepts are coming out great! I really enjoy the colors and the dynamics of some of them.
I hope to see some fleshed out paintings![]()
Greenhouse Good! That's nice to hear
Zipfelzeus Thanks! I'm gonna try to do some more finished enviros in the near future

Another study

sry if i repeat what others said. but your live/photo/anatomy studies are really great. but be sure not to 'only focus' on the outer lines (wow. even if they're really really clean.. that's my problem) - how long did they take you/time do you spend on them?
and those environemnts are great too. so mannnnyy! (I'm the worst in envr.. but i 'll give your techniques (with colourpicking from a picture) a try! thanks

I really digg those environments quick studies. Would it be possible for you to do a screencap video of your process maybe? And maybe even share the brushes, please? That would be
totally awesome of you. If not, I can understand too. cool stuff in any form. Thanks for sharing.

Hey bbwolf, next time i'll post some in-between pics (: I'd be glad to share my brushes, but at the moment It's a huge mess of various brushes which i need to sort out sometime. If my brush set is a bit more refined i'll post them

Insect studies.. I first copied off a photo and then redrawed them from a different angle.. Didn't work out that well but i'll certainlytry to do this kind of thing more
I tried combining some of the previous thumbs into one..

Okay.. It has been, two months since I did some gestures.. and I must say, the lack of practice is noticeable
And another env study
![]()
The environment came out in the right direction, believable and pretty.
You are hammering the yellow cornflowers real gently and effectively.
If doctor Stewart would see your pose and figure studies, you would
be treated with a rich and valuable fee. From start to end and vice versa,
all together without any hesitation. You surprised my soul gently and softly
with your improvements. You should go like this more and more, swap the
bug for the frog just like in the humid swamp environment. Keep on
watering and sprinkling the flooded backyard gardens, cause you
are evolving and becoming better every time we see a new post from you.
LtPlissken Hey man Altough I had to read your comment twice, it made me smile from ear to ear!..I consider your comment a real gem in my sketchbook (:
And thank you for the encouraging words !

Gestures with charcoal, these were done a5
![]()
Not badare those drawn from life or from photographs ?
Wim Those were drawn from images. I'll be life drawing in a few weeks
So..Time to work on one of my weakest points, figures completely from imagination
It's the first time i'm giving it a try..

This is AWESOME! I love to watch the progress! Very inspiring.
DonCarlos Haha thanks!

Masterstudy, no colorpicking ..for teen challenge

Another env with the same color scheme

Wow, last painting is fantastic man, I really like the feel of it. All your envs are really kick-ass.
Somehow, I feel you're more comfortable with simpler forms and environments than figurative studies though. All the gestures are very nice but the anatomy could use some more solidity. But that just comes with time.
Push on!
Aaron_ Thanks!
Some photostudies
![]()
Nice updates man, great studies... i really like those gesture studies done with charcoal, and great work with the texture on the last two, great stuff man, keep posting, i'll keep an eye
Hey Gpozzo, thanks for the kind words!!

your figure studies and environments are great. The environments are especially beautiful and the brush strokes are interesting
Dude, your recent studies are AMAZING!!! Really inspiring stuff. very cool to see the photos right next to the nature studies. Give a new insight. Thank you.
And I just love the last portrait. But maybe I am predjudiced because I am grooming a big beard myself![]()
