Wendigo Doodle...
Really amazing stuff here...
Here's mu humble contribution, my Tzimisce vampire's Horrid Form (to those who are familiar with Vampire: The Masquerade):
And another sketch of the same thing (I'm definitely changing those wrist spikes, they look retarded):
@marcnail: The background to the Wendingo looks great! It's got a...tribal feel to it, which really works!
@ricoartistico: Those jaws look amazing!

Something buggy. human shilouette for size reference.
I am always intrigued by the imagination of people that design unique looking creatures, and there's so many in this thread. I wanted to share some here too:

This is just a sketch done in Painter 9 a couple of days ago. Thought I would contribute while getting back into the swing of things.
I'm having trouble finding the right body type for this creature. Anyone have any suggestions. I'd really appreciate it if they could back up their idea with evolutionary mumbo jumbo as to WHY it would have that body type. If you need any background on it:
An angler hunts in a way not dissimilar to an alligator. The angler floats on the surface of the water, allowing airflow through the 12 nostrils that line the dorsal portion of the muzzle. The other 12 AE apparatus holes on the sides of the neck are also lie above the surface.
When hunting the angler, opens its mouth wide open. The evolutionary double jaw allows the angler to tuck its lower jaw into the tuft of its neck. Tiny 'worms' or bait hang from the top palate of the creature. This bait smells oh-so-delicious to little fishies and other osteicthians. Fishies come close and the power of two strong jaws anchored to each other, closing at the same time and trap the fishies in the angler's toothless beak.
Downward facing ears lay flat on top of the water's surface and listen for movement of both predators and prey.
The way the angler hunts, allows the eyeballs to be only half way submerged, allowing the eyes to direct the pupil totally under water or to glance above water for danger.
angler belongs to me.
~Note~ Ignore the "barbara kruger" thing. I wrote that down during my studio art class because I think I liked one of the works of art that she did that our instructor showed to us.

Some type of weird frog thing I made in photoshop a while ago. Sketched it out in a sketchbook program first, then painted from a brown background.
I love this thread, and had totally forgotten about it until today. Here's my contribution. I completed this under my old username, Artastic. Why did I change my username? Because I like my Hammer, and it wanted to be an Avatar on this awesome website. -Matt
