MoonVisionStudio: Thanks! Not a bad idea with having more firelight on the clouds.
jomasipe: Thanks.
ian_ruff: lol, thanks! As a southern boy I quite enjoy saying "y'all." It did earn me some strange looks when I was up at RISD, though. Oh, and if you want to watch a video of me painting, I've got a free video tutorial on youtube: http://youtube.com/noahbradley/
Waikien: Thanks! I'll need all the luck I can get.

Awesome work! really killer environments, that very first one posted is especially good.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

ArtZealot: Yeah, I got a little lucky with that one.My first D&D cover, too, so a great one to get lucky on.
Jason Rainville: lol, I started getting good the beginning of last year. And then the freelance work started trickling in and I've been trying to keep up ever since.
Quint: Considering how much I cringe at my work from 5 years ago, I can only imagine what I'll be doing 5 years from now.

King of the Proud

Liking that 'Death of Dreams' piece.
It's got a more convincing sense of scale than the 'King of Proud' one - but I like the conception of that a great deal.
From Gegarin's point of view

The fiery and icy light (respectively) in those last two are awesome. You have a really nice way of creating atmosphere in your pieces.
malice, whimsy, and illustration.

That last one actually made me "Holy shit!" out loud. Such a grand scale and perspective, and the lighting is beautiful.
Wow. Just wow. Awesome work!
Fantastic stuff mang, well deserved 5 star thread![]()
simply awesome stuff Noah, great use of dramatic lighting and epic pieces.
Hey there Noah! I recognised Trials of Devotion from a video tutorial on Youtube. It's nice to find this thread lying around here!
Let me say there's some amazing work here. 'As Darkness Rises', 'Till the Day We Die' really speak to me. What you said about how this website helped you to become what you are today is truly motivating and inspiring. I myself hope one day to look back and say the same thing. Thanks for sharing with us!
I love your work, the landscaping is just beautiful!!!

Chris Bennett: Really? Because the sense of scale in the Death of Dreams piece was actually really bothering me. It felt far more diminutive than I wanted it to. Ah well, I'll get it someday.
wylielise: Thanks!
Davie: Exactly the mood I was shooting for.
Mila: Work hard and you can do it--if I showed you the first stuff I posted on this site you'd probably laugh.
Logan Turner: Thanks for watching the vid! Always glad to hear people are still enjoying that.
gunsbins: Practice, practice, practice. And consciously keeping the different layers of depth separated. It's really easy to use too much contrast in the background so I just have to keep reminding myself to hold back.
No new art today, but I did want to post this pic because I am excessively happy right now:
I'm in my first ever Spectrum! I can't even begin to express how good this feels. To be fresh out of school and already recognized like this means so much to me. Congrats to all the other CA folks I saw in there!
Congratulations
Really nice work Noah.
