And now for a little sappy sentiment:

    Thank you, CA.org.

I would, in all honesty, probably not be an artist today without this website. When I joined nearly eight years ago, I discovered that there were people out there making a living off of their art. I realized then that art did not have to be just an enjoyable hobby but also could be a viable lifestyle. It took me a few years after joining to decide whole-heartedly to pursue art as my career, but I seriously doubt I would have even considered art at all had it not been for this place. Over the years I've received tremendous support, critiques, and information from these forums.

Last week I graduated from art school. I seem to be enjoying some small successes in my freelancing already--a steady stream of work, big name clients like WotC and Deep Silver, and being accepted into Spectrum/Expose. I know I still have a long, long way to go with my art and career, but I also know I'll stick with it. So I say once again: Thank you, CA.org.

I couldn't have done it without you.

I really love til the day we die because of the tilt in perspective, just brilliant. Another thing I love about your work is how suggestive you are with a few marks...like on the statues in that piece.

Congrats! You've reached an incredible level of skill.

Most of these remind me of Albert Bierstadt and his magnificently huge landscapes. Really great stuff.

I love all of these Noah, they're incredible! Part of the reason I want to be able to draw my own stuff is because I play Magic the Gathering and would love to be able to draw stuff worthy of it, and to know that you have is extremely cool! Well done mate

Thanks so much for the support y'all. It really means a lot to me.

dpaint: Why do you think it took me this long to respond to my own thread? Too busy working.

Jeff: Thanks, and the same to you! Sometimes I look around at people coming into the scene now and realize that someday we'll all be grizzled veterans together. See ya at the top.

Davie: Bierstadt's one of my biggest inspirations. They just blow me away every time. So I'm glad a little of that comes through in my work.

Dahami: It was an extreme honor to be accepted into both of those (and now I've apparently been featured in ImagineFX, too). Next goal: winning some medals from them.

Anubisuk: Oh, I actually haven't done any Magic cards yet. When I say I've worked for WotC I'm talking about D&D stuff. Still waiting on that email offering me a chance to work on Magic. Someday, someday...

rem92: I don't have any prepared for wallpapers, but if you go on my portfolio and click on the piece you can get a pretty darn high-res copy of the image. Enjoy.

Liffey: Thanks! Glad you liked the video. There's another one in the planning stages now that should put that one to shame.

Thanks again, everyone! I'll post some more work when it gets published (or when I make some time for personal work).

Wonderful work Noah and congratulations on graduating. The film and games business will owe you a great deal in the years to come, even after you've been paid! Great stuff.

    mozchops: Thanks!

Kelly Perry: Thanks! Glad my personal story might help to inspire others.

donalfall: Thanks, I really appreciate that. I keep myself humble by looking at work from just a few years ago... Boy, did I not have any idea what I was doing.

Chris Bennett: Thanks so much! Means a lot to me.

MarcSampson: I love me some nice lighting.

New piece! Finally put some time into developing a personal painting. Been doing too many jobs lately and sacrificed personal painting time. Head on over to my blog for a higher res look at it.
