COW ideas, and a random enviro that I'm working on.
More COW workups...
It's been a long time since I've updated, mainly because work has been crazy. Here are a couple of new works I did recently.
The Sky Fortress is Highly inspired by Corrick because he uses such great colors in his enviros. I really love that guy's work.

Retouched the Sky Fortress some, and played around with another color palette.
Enviro work.
A little touch up.
An environment for the EOW this week. Trying to up my game and practice on those environments more and more.
Alien Temple, pulling in some energy or something.
I think I'm done tweaking this one. There are things I need to work on, but I feel like I learned a lot with this painting.
A color and composition study. I feel like the picture is cluttered even though there are only three buildings. I wonder if expanding the canvas up would help, or making it wider. Also, I'm seeing my brush strokes need to be cleaned up, as well as the form of the rear building.
Dog image, opacity and value study.
Recent stuff, some female character faces, and a couple of things for COW.

you can really see imrovement throught the SB, good work!
Thanks for the feedback Samm I've been trying to work more and more with pencils and linework. I have been working with color and trying to figure it out as well. I still have a lot to learn but I think I'm improving. Glad to see someone else thinks so too!
A wip for EOW 187, not going to submit it though, not really happy with the composition. My elements are too cramped again, I really have to work on spacing and getting better depth in my paintings.
An idea that just happened. Crits most welcome. I know the composition isn't great, will do more composition studies in the future. I'm planning some light and texture studies as well.

Thanks to Bnoch for this awesome composition that I used to study from one of his works.
A bunch of thumbnails that I did for composition study.
Gestures and sketching in the bar the other night.
Trying to find line of motion, and get quick gestures from people I was
observing.
Tomorrow's EOW new sketch, not sure if I'll have time to paint it.

cool stuff man keep it coming. Don't neglect still lifes they help sharpen your value knowledge, lighting, texture and even composition. Also shape / figure. Just about everything you can want to practice can be practiced through still lifes and i think an artist of any caliber and quality of work should do them on a regular basis.

If you comment on my art and i am curious about your critique and want to learn more. I will ask you questions bluntly and directly.
Trying to move this along some.

I've been meaning to get some fruit together, and drapery, and all kinds of stuff, just have to buckle down and make time. I value that advice and will try to get more still life practice in my sketchbook, in the near future. Thanks so much for dropping by to comment!
