    My Digital Sketchbook

    Hello Everyone,
    I joined Concept Art some time ago (maybe around 2002 or so), but due to life and such, have not been back till now. I am trying to become more comfortable with the digital workflow, and I hope that I can learn some new things here. I also need to motivate myself to do more life drawing.
    Here are some of my sketches and finished works. I will try to update often. Thanks for looking.

    I've seen you post some very good advice in the critique section lately - thanks for that! I was curious to see your work after the great little Gollum sketch. Well, glad to see you creating a sketchbook - this is excellent work, nice linework. Hope you'll continue to update!

    How do you do this? How do you get there? How many boxes did you have to draw to be able to do this? How many years? What is it that makes you able to draw from any perspective, angle, any form, any shape- why? How?

    I absolutely a d o r e your work. As in: "That's where I wanna get". The clean lines, rendering, the depth, the forms- beautiful. And I would like to add that you are really helpful in the CC centre!

    @Benjaminba - Thank you

    @danlambert - Thank you. Unfortunately I couldn't finish in time for the competition.

    @wooden mango - Thank You

    @Lhune - Thank you

    @Justyna - Thank you

    @sone_one - Thank you. You have some good work in your sketchbook as well.

    @LordLouis - Thank your for the kind words. I learn a lot by offering advice as well. I will leave a reply in your sketchbook regarding the drawing stuff.

    This is a small update. First some digital pencils. I am still trying to get used to the digital medium. Next the development sketches for the guardian of Atlantis ChOW, and the initial block-in of the painting. I will post the finish soon. Last is an over-paint I did but never posted for this thread. The OP seemed to have lost interest by the time I finished the sketch so I never posted it. So here it is for what it's worth.

    Hi Javier. Thank you for your advice for my stuff in the critique forum.

    Now look at your works! Wow. I'm echoing what LordLouis has said.
    How the f- did you get there?? (sorry for the "f-", I have difficulty in expressing myself ). To imagine the amount of studies to get where you are now is just mind boggling and ... and ... you do that hippo on scratch board! *sighs

    I know I will enjoy this thread so much. Thank you for sharing. Please, post often.

    EDIT: Oh I forgot I have a question. That little girl with jellyfish, what media did you use? Soft Pastel?
