Okay hey guys, so I'm not sure if I've said this before but I'm on my summer break and over it I'm trying to improve as much as I can. Recently I was cleaning my room and I found some figure drawings I did 2 months ago when I was just starting my studies. This is from a couple weeks before I started this sketchbook...and in contrast I've taken pictures of some figures I did yesterday (hopefully it looks passable, the quality might be a little blergh). Hopefully everyone sees the progress, I think it's pretty impressive. Well I've been inspired by myself and now I'm off to go do some more work, oh and Shadow1687 thanks I will!

u got great anatomy studies.. maybe do more digital painting, and enviros? would be keen to see how they would look.

Alright guys, here's a new WIP study. I'll try to do an environment later, might be a good colour study so check back if you're interested.

Okay guys so I feel bad posting this close to my other one, but whatever, so I promised you an environment...sorry if you were expecting a super refined piece but that's not what I felt like doing...so yeah. Here it is 15 minute colour test, excuse the super sloppy brush work. Speaking of brushes, I downloaded M@'s set awhile ago and while I only really have one brush from that in my current set, I have to say that I find them great for environments. Anyway that's enough of my babbling, see you guys later!

Edit: Attached a progress shot of today's study, gonna leave it at this. I learned soooo much about colour and brushwork today, I feel accomplished.

GRAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!

Hey guys...so here's a study, portraiture, there's something that hasn't been seen here. Anyway it's bad, I know but it's early, I'll do more on it I promise. Today's been a bad day, I've been at work all day and I missed the golden boy stream and now live stream's screwed up and now I can't watch it. Anyway tomorrow should be better it's Canada day and my girlfriend's cat just had kittens so I'm going to go see them, I'm excited! Well yeah see you guys...

oh and thanks for all the comments, I know I don't do personal replies but I really do appreciate them, especially on a day like today.

Playin' around, half an hour speed study before I'm off to work. I'm not going to continue it's just an experiment, at least I learned some things about my workflow, huzzah. That's what I aim for learning something every time. Oh well it's crap but here yah go, but now I'm off! See yah!

Hallo!

How is everyone, I went a day without n update, grrr I felt bad about that, didn't get much done yesterday, long work shift was long. Anywho today is my day off so I'm doing a lot. So errr...yeah here's today's first thing well, actually it's the third thing I did today but whatev's. I need to stop picking the same basic thing to draw, guy standing with a shoulder towards the camera, anyway WIP still gonna fix/ finish it laterz...

Okay so I hate doing this but at the same time, I don't really care, cause I like being a post .

Here's what I did with this study, tan people are really not all that fun to draw, soooo tomorrow it's gonna be some pasty goodness, if anyone has a link to pasty people doing cool things let me know!

Weird I know, moving on...per usual I have some super cool awesome amazing traditional sketchbook stuff, that would absolutely blow your mind if you saw it, but i can't upload it 'cause my scanner is super douchey...anyway enjoy what little I have for you...I'll try to be less post -y in the future.

So I figured I should start uploading more than one thing in each post, I mean I do more than one thing in a day, why not share. So yeah I'll ease into it, here's some imagination doodles, I always like doing imagination stuff, it's so rewarding. It shows me what I retained from studies and it also points out what I have to work on...

also there's some guy, just a guy...trying to do quicker anatomy studies, it worked out...I got a lot of info out of it and didn't feel the need to go in and render it or add colour or whatever...anyway, enjoy!

So I haven't updated in a day...boooo.

So rest assured I did a lot of pencil work, anyway I continued to work on my doodle today, I'm heading out to work now, did a couple of hours of studying then started to doodle...so yeah, gonna keep going. I think that it's taking to long but really I've only spent a few minutes on it...I just keep spreading it out...the next part will take awhile, rendering and everything. Anyway thanks for looking! Hey so it's been awhile...I had to take a break from the conceptart, and the internet in general...I was spending to much time sitting doing nothing. Well yeah that explains my absence so here's some studies from yesterday. Oh sometimes I feel like I'm getting better...but most of the time I feel like I suck, meh I guess everyone's like that; I just have to keep going. Well I'll see you guys later!

Hey Psychobuddy, man I hear you on the internet thing! Yeah we all have that, I hope you are feeling up to some more sketchbook stuff now, because I just have to say that #23 and #24 ist just so awesome I am melting in front of my screen now^^ Good to know you paint while listening to streams as well.. I have some classes from CA to watch, so off now to do some studies. Thank you!

Post 44 is looking really great, it has lots of potential. The form, weight and tones are solid. Your studies are looking great too.

Did you find a solution to your painting edge problem? I use the lasso tool and an eraser to sharpen things up if that helps!?!

Dayle: Thanks man, I've figured out a way similar to yours. Thanks for stopping by.

Anyway here's a study from yesterday, the skin tone is really weird. Oh colour is hard...also there's a few things that are always missing from my studies, see if you can figure it out.

Ugh abs redux & a quick thing from imagination. I've never really rendered anything out this far from memory or anything so it was an accomplishment, even though it not really polished or really completed. Oh well personal growth I guess.

Hey guys, so an even more boring update then usual. I just wanted to say something, and I don't post without art soo here's a study i just started.

Anyway what I was going to say; I know I'm not really very good or anything but I've been thinking lately I've made some massive leaps over the summer and I think it's time to give back to the community. So while it may not be the most interesting thing, I was thinking, if anyone wants I can put together a little thing on how I go about these studies...how I start them, how I begin rendering, and how I polish...basically...er...basic stuff eh. So yeah like I said; I know that this would be a really boring topic to do a tutorial or something on but maybe it would be valuable to someone...let me know.

It's something that I've never really had any interest in but I dunno, now I guess I feel like it's a worthwhile exercise. Anyway here's the first update on my first one...this will be an interesting journey...

eclectic rhapsody: They're coming, they're coming don't worry...I've had a little schedule worked out for myself and coming up is portraits and stuff. I'm worried, it's the hardest part about all this stuff for me...sooo I'm a little scared.

Elophant: I love elephants...
errr yeah practice, I've really been trying my hardest over the past three months and I'm finally seeing some improvement...but the hardest part is that the more I improve the easier it is for me to see my flaws. Oh well at lest it let's me isolate them...

So anyway here's an after work update, I'm uhhh enjoying it. It's definitely a challenge. Things are still really muddy, but I think that's because of the ass backwards way that I went about doing this. Well I guess now I'm just tightening it and rendering, hopefully all goes well. Oh and I will include the face in this...Ooooo big step!
