New work + studies from Atelier Stockholm

    Hey guys!

Here are some things that I have been working on so far this year:

An interpretation of Jon Snow, a character from the “A Song of Ice and Fire” fantasy novels by George R.R. Martin:

A still-life done with oils on canvas at Atelier Stockholm (73×60 cm):

Exoskeleton and Jon Snow are purest gold. Love those design vs. color choices on Jon Snow's piece. Bravo!

Dang, that's some great stuff. I love the image of Jon Snow, he looks badass, although quite different from how he's now being portrayed in the HBO series.
Also I'm blown away by your figure studies.

Very impressive stuff. I especially like the rainbow reflection on the side of the plaster head. Fantastic subtlety and execution!

Some cool things here, here's what I found in my nitpicking, lol, the cd to the right with the blue towards us looks a little flat because it doesn't appear to be showing a tilt properly, maybe this is to do with values or colour relations, I don't know. Also the female model looks like she has an ever so slightly flat right leg (underneath the knee, on the shin area), perhaps it's too much of one tone there? Again something about it seems lacking.

I've made these mistakes in drawing tons of times so that's how I noticed

Other than that these are pretty impressive and I would love to see some drawings of yours if they are around on this site somewhere.

I do like that exoskeleton, from a concept point of view - you've got a skinny weedy guy in it, instead of a muscled commando, etc. Nice work!

May I ask how you went about those atelier paintings. I've recently starting doing live drawing and am having trouble finishing the drawings in just black and white within the 2 hours available. How are able to render such lifelike representations of the scene in full colour is beyond me.
