Hi, My names Kyle Smart and I'm an Illustration student at UWE in the UK. I graduate this June. If your in Bristol or London around then come to our show!
Primarily I want to learn how to more effectively use the figure as a design element and tie it together with a range of mark making that is cohesive. Such is that, I have started introducing pattern and diagrammatic elements along with some looser painterly quality. I don't think I'm getting it to act as a 100% cohesive whole just yet though.
When I have graduated I would ideally be able to get some conceptually led work in Publishing or Editorial. My favourite Illustrations are both pretty and clever.
I think that covers it. Having been present at the portfolio reviews using TAD's system, I also plan to apply for a TAD Scholarship. Unfortunately in my current financial situation a scholarship is probably the only way I would be able to attend.
