    Hey Mike,

I would be totally interested! I keep trying to get into Microsoft and they keep ignoring me entirely. :/ I may just have to get in testing on NATAL, but I would really rather work at the art stuff, and sci fi is my favorite genre ever.

JETPACK! Holy crap! I miss you, dude! Does anyone know when our next meet would be? I keep losing the link to this thread, the search is really hard and crappy to use to find individual threads instead of posts or posters.

And lots of love for Sok! We need to get together and draw/paint. If you're ever in the Redmond area, there's myself and a lot of other digipen grads who wanna keep up on their art, I'm sure we could arrange some drawing time and you could hang out with us! I can also help you with digital, if you like. I used to be all about Painter, but I've become pretty accustomed to Photoshop. (Even though CS4 is the most finicky digital painting program EVER.)

Oh, also, I forgot to mention! I don't know if you guys know, but Digipen has free lifedrawing for people in the industry and/or digipen alums. I'm not sure if you have to register or you can just walk in, I'll look up the information site and post it if you guys are interested! Obviously it's in the Eastside (Redmond, at the Digipen art campus.), but I need to figure out if it will still be in the original building, because they're moving everybody into this huge new campus... but I'm pretty sure it's not ready yet.

    -Sarah

btw, if you need to get in touch to ask me about it, the most reliable way is email. I never really check conceptart.org's messages that often, as Sok probably knows. It's [email protected].

Sapphire, this thread can always be found in the lounge section, then clicking the local artists groups link, then this thread is always stickied at the top.

Mike, what are you working on these days? get together soon? group meet up?

Sarah! So glad to see you are still around! We definitely have to get a group together at some point, if only for old times sake.

You guys know who else I run in to from time to time at Art/Not drawing sessions? Laura! Its crazy to be back in town..

haha, I wouldn't wait on organizing a meeting but I don't know anybody else here but you Mike. Plus, I think I might be the only person who lives in the southern areas. However, if somebody else organized a meeting I'd sure try and jump on it.

I'm not that far south, I'm on Beacon Hill, right across from Boeing Field, but I have a car and am willing to travel. It seems, though, that meetings around here usually are held further up north, sometimes in Seattle and sometimes all the way up in Lynnwood area.

Hey Dose... I'm down in Des moines so you have fellow southies!
Just wanted to ask if Saturday was the only day that really worked for everyone or if we could consider tyring a friday night as well. Saturdays seem to be filling up for the summer and I would really like to get together with everyone again to sit, sketch and b.s.

HEY! I resemble that remark (Beacon Hill as well though more North).

As an aside looking for help currently with funny game concept art. For someone up and coming who wants the experience and thinks this might be up their alley. Not a pro job as we cant do payment guarantees (at least we are honest about it versus being screwed over later).

    Hey Everyone!

I'll be teaching a class starting July 7th. Fundamentals of Drawing from Life.

Also, starting July 8th, I'll be running a Portrait Drawing night. Works like this: You show up with whatever drawing materials and 5 bucks. One person sits for 20 minutes, everyone draws. We rotate sitting for a 20 minute portrait drawing until everyone has sat, or 3 hours has passed. Great opportunity to practice drawing a variety of peeps with good lighting! Will start July 8th and run indefinitely!

Hope to see some of you there! At least at the portrait nights!

Let me know if you have any questions!

If we don't get at least 4 to 5 more peeps, I'm going to say we postpone this until the following Friday.
    Chime in quick.
