Hope you feel better soon David. See you at the next meeting
So Kevin and I are attending the FuturePoly school at the moment and last night we figured out how the heck we looked familiar to each other. This begs the question, when's the next get together?
I was thinking maybe next weekend, Saturday the 20th. How's that sound?
Tuesday?

Let's see to keep my life story short....i went and work for a few places and that was my focus was, working and paying off bills, i lost quite a bit of passion for art, lost focus on it and everything else. Only just recently in the last year i slowly got back into it, drawing many of my friend's newborn babies. Got bored at work and starting doodling again. Passion is starting to come back, gain a lot of motivation that i didn't have before, and now I'm giving myself another chance. I recently got married and have a baby on the way. Damn life goes by so quick. I'm hoping to get back on track and relearn everything from the ground up.
Holy Crap! Congrats on becoming a husband and a father!!!
Me? Work, art studies, and side projects. The days just are long enough.
Saturday the 27th sounds good, have a zbrush class at 6 over at Futurepoly so won't be able to stay long., but it's still the best day for me.

Since there hasn't been much talk about the upcoming meetup, minus Zazerzs, I'm assuming I didn't give enough warning. Because of that I think I'll call off this Saturday's meet. I have a big project that I can use the extra time on anyway. In the future I'll try to give at least 2 weeks notice before a sketchgroup meeting, so people can find out in time and plan accordingly.
the 6th or the 13th would be cool
very cool, sok....congrats on all fronts and finding your way back to the arts.
best!

Thanks David, you too hope you been doing well. Anyone here goes to Art/Not Terminal for their figure drawing session, me and my buddy is thinking bout going there this sunday morning.
hi all, I met Fire Moth tonight drawing at the Ouch My Eye gallery in SoDo. I haven't posted on here for awhile, but just wanted to say "hi" to the folks in Seattle.
I haven't been to the Sunday Art/Not session in awhile-- but, I remember it as a bit crowded and HOT-- dress lightly. It's basically set up in a big circle around the model. On model breaks, an interesting ritual is the walk-around-- where a lot of people walk the circle and take a peek at everyone's drawings.
There's some really good artists there.
Thanks Kambers, how is the parking, i'm not much of a Seattle guy, or actually a downtown type of guy. Any parking nearby or ones i would have to pay for. I know awhile back Kekai and Xia would go there, i'm wondering if they still go there.
Hi Sok,
I'll be going to Art/Not on Sunday -- the street parking is all free on Sundays, so you can park anywhere. There's usually plenty of parking in that area on Sunday mornings.
See ya,
- eli
Oh shit sup Eli, how you been buddy, kew kew at least i'll be able to see a familiar face (lol hopefully unless you grown a beard and grown longer hair) when i'm there. Sounds great i'm excited. I'm working graveyard at my workplace (casino in tacoma), 10pm til 6 am, friday night to wednesday morning, so i'll be up at awake ready to head to do some sketching.
Hey Incredible Sok: yeah, parking in downtown on Sunday is free! Though, I'd advise showing up early: the session tends to be crowded and the regulars are pretty territorial re their favorite spots.
Art/Not provides free "horses"-- those things you straddle and can lean yer big ol' drawin' board upon-- but the regulars have an attitude about their territory for the horseys!
And, the lighting is a bit harsh-- blasted from multiple directions-- thus, your choice of location affects your drawing, seeing, quality.
My observation? The better locations are at the bottom o' the stairs.
On the farside: some chair type facilities. The "Moleskine" types gravitate here!
Cool thanks Kamber if your there this sunday give me a shout out. I'm glad i got some more good info, i guess i'll be gravitating where the moleskins are.....lol
