    Bananaman's Personal

So i guess this will be my thread for my personal works, C & C are highly recommended and welcomed! To help a fellow artist improve!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I was still a child, my mum told me about Singapore, she told me that its a pretty little island, with beautiful places, and the famous singapore statue made me though that it was actually a place full of pretty mermaids and fishes.

Well after i grew older, these interesting imaginations often just disappear. Funny, scary, stupid, but these are memories

Its for the singapore AFCC contest, critiques and comments are very welcomed, i want to push this as far as possible.

Some watercolor styles (Aka Ping Fan) paintings

One of the painting in my "Toilets, the beginning of a day." series.

    As titled.

You woke up, you turn on the shower, u rinse your face, brush your teeth..and then you see those PIMPLES D

One of my assignment for college, "Hero". I did Ares, the god of war!

My assignment final for the Digital Illustration class, "Care Project" was the assignment.

CARE is a charity fund founded by The One Academy of Communication Design (which is my college).

My concept for this illustration was to use a well known fairy tale/children story to reflect what pollution has impacted us with.

On the top is a polluted "ex-wonderland", where alice is covered with oil spills and have drawn the cheshire cat on her oxygen tank with chalks, with playing cards burning round her.
The reflection on the puddle is refflecting the old wonderland.

As for the cheshire I used the classic look and tim burton's as ref, i really like the tim burton's version, but i changed the ears a little.

I really like the face on the girl with the eels. (like that picture overall too). I was wondering, how do you go about choosing your color palettes for your work? It looks to me like each piece has a carefully chosen color theme, curious if you had any tips.

@revboyjames - thanks alot man! Glad you like it! Well, i usually do color thumbnails for my paintings before i proceed into painting them, tiny thumbnails will do, after i think i got the color palette im satisfied with, i go blocking in the colors on the actual piece and start detailing the parts piece by piece. Just go crazy with the way u do thumbnails, sometimes i use photos i've took, and just randomly cut it and paste it all over the place, sometimes the outcome is really surprising.

@Velocity Kendall - thanks alot man! I'm flattered! your works are great! Thanks for dropping by man

Beautiful stuff. I complete agree with VelocityKendall on the two strongest pieces. Really nice armor designs and a great sense of action for both.
