How can you manage this with regular water clay? I cannot imagine how one would keep it moist enough to work over the period of time required to put sufficient detail into the sculpture. Are you misting it from a spray bottle and wrapping it up with plastic overnight?
Do you hollow their bellies out?
These are extremely impressive! How did you manage doing this kind of work with ceramic clay? I'm curious about the armatures you used to create these and how you went about building them.
