Business / practical matters behind art

Would anyone be able to recommend god sites or books about the business and marketing side of art, especially for a beginner designer / artist? For example fow to offer your design to a company and advertise it, making a protfolio, contracts, copyrights, royalty-fees etc. I really have no idea about these things...

Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines- also another good one.
