Whoa thanks for all the support guys!

xbert: thanks man! Thanks for always dropping by I can't tell the difference myself haha

MeteorCat: Thanks a bunch! Trying out some new stuff on these

Zikes: thanks! I'm trying to find balance between rendering and being more rough, not having much luck so far

Amarok: thanks! I'll try to do more stuff from imagination, they always end up looking crap though heh

xinranliu: Thanks for the crit! You're absolutely right, I'm never able to find a good balance between rough areas and rendering :/

jbrown67: thanks! Glad you like them

Yefim: Thanks for the kind words. I hope I'll be able to match them in the future

    -------

Some stuff! Still-life. The colours are way off, meh, some doodling in the form of few quick thumbnails and a tank and a new study. I don't know if I end up finishing it - trying out some brushes.

    Such a fun sketchbook!
Your still life studies are wonderful, i really like the brush strokes and variation. Particularly this last one from post #181. The drape has a nice chalk brush mood to it, and the mettal is shiny and crisp..lovely mood.
Keep sharing with us, and thank you!

Sorry for the uninteresting and small updates, busy week. Managed to also do few hours of trainsketching but I don't think I'm going to scan them.

Scribble from imagination, playing around with alchemy, started a new masterstudy.

Lovely update! The study has come up very nice, it has a certain delicacy to it.
Still life has nice texture and details. I've seen you do a few still life, and i browsed your sketch book in search for them.

    Really nice, keep posting!

BlackDelphin: thanks a bunch! Glad you like them

forestdino: Thanks! I don't think I'm good enough to be inspiring people though

pixel cheetah: cheers! I should try to do more imaginary work but they always suck.

Mila: cheers man! Clouds are always fun to draw, heres one more

    ----

Stuff. Two studies, sloppy aircraft from imagination and crappy landscape just to keep me drawing some more when I didn't feel like it. Aldo did a selfportrait which turned out to be utter crap, not gonna post that one.

I really love seeing the work of an artist that he dislikes and seeing that it still is pretty great. Don't be so hard on yourself. The latest drawings are good too!

I am not a big fan of aircrafts but if anything, helicopters are one of my favourites. The last landscape, also, is very good in my opinion. It has a very gloomy, desolated feel to it.

The precision of your images is very high. Your observational drawing is very very good.

There's one thing that I believe could make your work better. Radiosity.

In this one, the red cloth should be affecting the color of the pot. It isn't.

Another example is this one... there should be a lot more of the blue from the plate/saucer showing up in the onion, and some of the yellow/gold from the onion in the plate.

The same issue appears in that very well drawn still life in your first post; the red onion should influence the color of the yellow onion and vice versa. Overall, all the elements in your still lifes should influence the colors of each other. This is true in all cases except for highly reflective surfaces, where the light from other images is merely reflected off.

Searching Google for "radiosity" shows up a lot of 3D stuff... (hard to find 2D examples)... but it's definitely something that could take your stuff up to the next level.

Here's a simple and obvious to see example of radiosity found on Google (there are probably many other good ones elsewhere) (take a look at the door and book case)

MeteorCat: Thanks! I rarely like the stuff I do but thats the way it goes.

p sage: Thanks for the crit! I know what you mean. I'm often lacking that in my imaginative work. I can't say if the still-lifes are accurate as I've already taken them down, regarding the onion there was hardly any reflections from the plate under. I gotta be more careful next time.

    Stuff. Studies, scribbles etc.

MeteorCat & Mila: thanks guys! Glad you always stop by. I should try to be more exact with my stuff, trying to go to a certain direction while keeping my goals in mind. I'm not getting enough out of these I feel.

Uuuuh, scribble? And a quick study.

    uuuuh,
    from imagination,
started a quick drawing from life, didn't finish,
Three studies, just focusing on learning about color and brushes, didn't pay much attention to other stuff.

Also did some other crap but not gonna post those.

Cheers! Crits are as always, welcome.
