I must apologise for being such a stalker but I like the first painting a lot. It has a lot of depth and drama. The second one reminds me of James Gurney's painting so obviously I like it too

I really like your armor studies. I wonder if I should try those also, only to taste some sweet failure again, yum. Also the creature-things on post #422 look cool. Why oh why am I so sucky at creatures? The crapscribble on post #428 looks, well, not that crap to me, lol. Also I like your signature quotation by the way. Where is it from? It's somehow inspiring. Still learning the toughness part myself.

What is it with you and shiny armor?

Running trough your sketchbook, I think you have a great eye for values, you seem to nail them every time.

Waht's your secret for adding depth to your environments? I seem to struggle with that all the time.

    Yor: thanks!

Satupeikko: Oh yes, that sweet, sweet failure. The quote was by Karl Larsson. I went to see is exhibition at Ateneum. I don't like his work really (except his younger stuff was pretty cool) but the quote stuck on me.

Tea of Doom: Shiny metal is shiny x.x; I actually feel like I'm horrible with depth and all my paintings look really flat, so thanks! I guess I just try to keep a keen eye on the value transistions between the painting.

    *scribblescribble* just uh.. Idk.

Yor: Thanks! Hehe yeah, damn those SPs. I feel like I'm slowly getting closer to something though. I think they're pretty bad because of the way I'm trying to see things. Will have to try more.

Gpozzo: Thank you! Trying to update daily

    -----

Sooo yeah. Another quick SP, pretty bad yadda yadda. The colours were something along those lines so not all failed. Just shapes and shit as usual. Also some b/w dude. The rest I did was pretty much along the same lines.

This latest study is one of your best. Her nose is stunning, her eyes hold emotion and look great, her mouth give a lot of expression too and last but not least the neck is wonderful. I love how you captured the tiny piece of reflected light on her chin.

The only advice I could give is try and smooth the hair above her ear as those white strokes don't really look right.

    Keep up the stupendous work!

MeteorCat: Thanks! Yeah I prefer doing studies just focusing on one thing. That one wasn't about the hair so I didn't touch it at all.

    ---

Was away for few days. Tried to do some traditional stuff. Boy do they suck. I'm horrible with lines.

just scirbbles. Been doing the selfportraits and stuff too but... yeah...
