Mila: Yeah I've been trying to do one a day. They're all done from mirror, that's why they're so unbelievably bad.

Hair Fish: Thanks man! I have a collection of brushes from different artists. Mostly I'm just using a regular round brush but lately I've been experimenting a bit with more textured brushes.

Andrew Sonea: Thanks! Haha don't worry about it, this shit doesn't deserve 5 stars. Thanks alot for the crit. You're right, the SPs are horrible. I think it's because I get too occupied with getting likeness down so that I forget everything else, it just becomes little scribbling trying to get everything right. I've done few SPs during the last few days trying to be more loose and textured as you advised but so far they've been pretty bad. I'll post a new one when I manage to do something worth showing. Overall the reason for the SPs it not really to get finished good looking portraits but to get the likeness down, thats not a reason for not getting more textures down.

I really should try to get some better lighting here, I think thats partly why I don't seem to get any of the planes read.

Wip. I feel like I went too far, it had alot more feelign and energy before I started rendering more.

Also a character. I'm slowly trying to get more into characters. Did few quick color passes but didn't find anything that I liked so I'm just posting the quick sketch. Also did more self-portraits, as always but those aren't really worth posting.

Stuff. Felt like working a bit more on one of the yesterdays landscapes.

Ugh I'm so utterly horrible with characters, I don't know what to do with them. I feel like I'm seriously lacking something bu I don't know what it is. I also can't seem to have similar kind of approaches and ways of working as I do with enviroments. Everything just collapses

I know what you mean I just left my illustration courses in college and my teacher was in shock. I live in Israel, everyone around me doesn't want to learn rules or theories just draw 'cool stuff' all day with no real education and the teachers don't teach differently at all. People look at me like I'm from the renaissance. Where do you live?

Just some really really really quick stuff. 1min thumbs, some few minute SPs just trying to figure stuff out and be more efficient. Also a scribble I made away from home and my wacom. Just messing around with mouse mainly using lasso tool, gradients and custom shapes. Something I don't do very often.
