Talking Building a robot out of [SketchBook]S

Hey there peoples I thought id start out by giving you guys & girls some info so you might know me better or see how I think. So for starters I'm 23 and I live in canada on a vancouver island on the west coast, its a great place too live but it only has a small artistic community made mostly of older traditional artists. For as long as I can remember iv always been artistically inclined and I really cant see myself doing anything else, my favorite genres of art are fantasy, pinup art, tattoos and alittle sci-fi. Unfortunately during my last years of high school my art teacher really discouraged me from getting more involved in art and as such I got out of practice, but acouple months ago I decided it was time too climb that artistic mountain again. so here I am posting my art for the first time and hoping anyone in a similar position will be inspired to do the same.

Well you haven't got much here, but the figure studies you do have are really quite lovely to look at. Just notes I can think of, when you continue onward make sure you leave enough room in the chest for the ribcage. The cross-contours in post 3 seem to be lacking one. I look forward to seeing how you progress

*tisk* You have a great reference thread but no art yourself. For shame

Please continue to draw! Do more figure studies. Do some paintings. Do traditional paintings and go outside to paint if you have to if you need inspiration. Just keep going!
My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills
