Here's a ninja turtle I did while watching the orignal live action movie tonight<3
I wanted to do colors...but I'm having difficulty with underpainting and geting the colors looking right and what not...help is appreciated<3

Eh. Color is hard for me. To much going on for my brain to wrap around. And it tends to look flat and boring because my color choice is bleh. Just have to work harder I suppose

the turtles look awesome.. the last one is my favorite.. but all of your pieces have something that i like.. i just don't know what it is.. the anatomy may not be completely accurate but it has a certain appeal to it (: keep it up man

I think one reason you find your colors to be off is you often work within really a compressed value and mostly linear hue scale that flattens your forms and keeps your paintings from having unity. Mostly looking at the portrait in post 2. Push those values! Really solid work otherwise :]

Hey, push those values. Darker darks, lighter lights.Oh and if you have trouble painting in colors, try painting in grayscale and then apply color using the "Color" type layer in photoshop, after you get your values right. It lets you focus on one thing at a time.

@Kiwee - Thanks man! :) Yeah the right hand was supposed to just be resting on his hip...i think it was just laziness on my part:(
