B&N Contest – Some examples of Diptychs, and a few cool ones too!
Heya!
I am excited about the contest. I gathered up some of the diptychs I have found online, so others can
see how diptychs can be structured. Feel free to research some but I think this will give you some ideas.
Please share any great examples you find too!
Some of these are just “ok” but I think all offer some ideas and insight into the process and structure of
diptych making in other areas of art. Obviously you should bring your own taste to the images you do.
If Craig Mullins, Kevin Llewellyn or Ashley Wood made a diptych, it would not look like anything below
right?
Also you can use any viewpoint, or camera angles you wish, so explore and have fun! I look forward to
seeing any images you want to share here, and
a. Notice how the images can be stacked/showcased, both horizontally and vertically.
b. Notice how the design of one fits well together with the second image.
c. Both images need to be designed from the start as a whole, and as individually.
