I really like Namor and enjoy drawing him. Therefore I have created this pencil drawing that shows him in front of a giant octopus.
I like your sense for dynamic compositions. Also your storytelling is pretty good.
Try to define some areas more than others, it will give the viewer some focal points to guide the eyes. Also you should try to keep attention to your overall saturation in your pieces. They have the same intensity (main character, background...).
Hope it helps,
Here is the first winner of my Doctor’s Poll on DeviantArt…and it’s Dr.Doom. This time I just wanted to do a head portrait of him. I have drawn the piece with traditional pencils and painted it digitally. I am currently working on another Dr.Doom drawing which will be up next month. So stay tuned!
Well today I just wanted to draw something different…and somehow I came up with the idea of an American Indian sitting on a mountain…so here he is!
A lot of this stuff is really, really good! You have a great sense of composition. Though the first superman isn't a completely traditional superman (longer, sloppy looking hair) I like that you are putting your own twist on the characters. The ones that are the least interesting are the most traditional, like Cap't America. Although the Punisher is frickin' awesome! Can't wait to see more. Oh, Thor is really great too.
Thanks for the nice comment about my artwork. I guess the traditional stuff is the most basic work I am currently doing. Maybe it isn’t as interesting as my other work, but these drawings are really helpful to improve my art in general.
Please feel free to check my other threads for more artworks!
This is my third pencil drawing of Namor. I liked the idea of my previous drawing showing him swimming with sharks. But this time I wanted a lot more of them…and they are hammerheads! I guess I am going to paint this piece sooner or later…so stay tuned!
I came up with the idea of the Hobgoblin reaching out of the dark and trying to grab the viewer. I really like the composition of this piece based on simple shapes and a lot of black.
Here is a Hulk painting I have been working on for a while. I finally had the time to finish and post it before it was totally forgotten. I really like the Hulk and he is definitely the most destructive force in the universe…his unstoppable rage is unleashed! Hope you enjoy it!
I am currently painting my Doctor’s Poll artwork of Dr. Strange and this is a good opportunity to finally show you the prelim drawing of the upcoming painting. I scanned the pencil drawing and already did some digital touch ups…just stay tuned for the final artwork!
I wanted to create some sequential art and came up with the idea of these five Phoenix and Magneto pages. It is all about their relationship and the destructive power they will unleash upon the world as the most dangerous mutant couple ever known. I have used a mixture of traditional pencil drawing and digital drawing to create these pages.
Finally I am done working on the runner up artwork for my Doctor’s Poll on DeviantArt. It took me awhile but now it is time to introduce you to Dr.Strange…the Sorcerer Supreme!
The almighty Thor was one of the top three Avengers chosen by the DeviantArt community. This is the penciled prelim version of the upcoming artwork. But I am still not sure if I am going to paint three single illustrations or, as originally planned, one big Avengers piece…time will tell!
Here is the next prelim version for my Avengers artwork and this time it is the Invincible Iron Man. I have chosen to go a bit old school and draw him in his classic armor.
Very cool work in here! Line work feels good and your latest illustrations looks great. I really liked how you pulled off the Hulk on the previous page, great feeling to it. Keep up the good work!
Edit: Oh, and would have wanted to see the 100 1h portraits in bigger size, the thumbnails looked nice! I'll try to do something similar, thanks!
My Sketchbook: Blunder's Blund-o-rama
Somehow I wanted to paint Jubilee and also try some new working techniques. So here she is...and to make it really spectacular I have created a Marvel cover with her…just for fun!

…another cover for fun. This piece was a good opportunity to play around with some new techniques and also figure out how it will look as a comic book cover. Just enjoy it!
Very dynamic work! Great ideas and anatomy.
