Here are drawings from the past year or so. This will be the only post in which I display such old work. Everything after this will be recent.

great skecthbook , love those hand studygood luck
Thanks ayoub66 =)
Here's another batch of faces I did today. It's funny that the big one in the middle is probably my least favourite.
Most were from imagination, some were loosely based on people at school and on the bus.

Here are some portraits.
These are photo referenced.
Next I think I'll do some figure/anatomy studies... I'm spending too much time on just faces.

good creatures and studies you got goin on bro. keep it up and thanks for the encouraging words![]()
Sketchbook
my subconscious does not stop begging my conscious to draw.
hmm does that mean im a slave to my subconscious?
at least it doesnt beg for crack. ha.
Thanks mrd33ds.
Apologies for my absence lately, I've been spending a lot of time painting miniatures. That and school/work have kept me from drawing much (excuses excuses, I know).
Anyway, I've started a fairly in-depth study of human anatomy. This is partly for school and partly for artistic purposes. I'm slowly working my way through this anatomy textbook, taking notes and drawing pictures as I go.
I'm starting with the axial skeleton... first of all, the skull

Next, the spine

These are studies of live models. The first one is from last week, the second and third are from today. They were all 15 minutes.
(the third is my personal favourite)

Here's a photo study. I came across a graphite stick so I thought I'd try a toned background. I quite like how it turned out.
This took maybe 1h30min (wasn't really keeping track).

Nice studies man. Keep up!
Two photo studies... nothing spectacular.
I'm really starting to like these toned backgrounds. Somehow they're less intimidating than a white sheet of paper.

Something from imagination.. a plane? superman? no, a bird!

Some hands and a silly doodle. I was using my own hand for reference.

Here's another photo study. This is my first ever attempt at using charcoal and chalk! I used grey paper and realized pretty quickly that I wasn't fond of the texture and that the other side was much smoother... oh well, now I know for next time. Let me know what you think.

Some pencil figure studies.
Hm, it just dawned on me that I hardly ever draw men. Perhaps I should draw some men.

More studies.

Wow nice stuff. I laughed when you said nothing spectacular, it's amazing to me.
Check out my sketchbook: Anatomy Sketchbook
And please comment, even if you think it's terrible, tell me why. Or if you don't want to at least a "good work" would be motivating
You are improving amazingly fast ... i just can imagine how good you will become during the next years .. keep it up!
I really liked the portrait. It's good.
"Dubium sapientiae initium."
"Il dubbio è l’inizio della sapienza."
(Cartesio)
Ok, back to anatomy. I intend to finish all the bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments eventually! Needless to say, I still have a long way to go...
But here's the rib cage

Today's life drawings.
The first three were 5 or 10 minutes (can't remember which was which) and the last was 15 minutes. I'll admit it, I touched up the face on the last one when I got home... not so sure that it did any good.

Just keep doing what you're doing! These continuos studies will pay off big time!
nice work....keep it up...the creature in the third image is hilarious![]()
Today's not-so-serious drawings from imagination. If these taught me anything, it's that I still have a lot to learn.
Some profile practice and a dude jamming with a boombox (I was listening to rap, heh). The most glaring problem with him is the way his shirt folds.. I need to study fabrics big time.
