Recent character work

I put together some recent stuff I did for variety of projects, hope something catches the eye.

Solid concept work! Enough form in the right places to be descriptive and an economy of strokes elsewhere. The title piece is really the best, its got all the right ingredients for character work: a specific mood, attitude, physiology, and costume. I think you could push some of those aspects to be more specific and it would really elevate the impact. The costume, in particular, could use some elaboration in the details to illustrate aspects of the character more fully.

Is the armor damaged from combat? Is it pristine and polished because he's a leader, and not a grunt? Are there any markings on his armor or his weapon that identify them as being individual to him or are they generic because he's a poor gladiator?

I think there's a lot to explore there.
