    I like how you did the hair and the sketchy design on the scarf. Her left eye probably needs to be a bit bigger.

    @p sage: Thank you!
    @Kmoeini: Yeah, something is wrong with that left eye. I tried fixing it but it went wrong, haha. I'll try making it a bit bigger. Thanks!

    FYI, I am not dead. Just lazy. And recovering. XD
    I'm trying to participate in the CHoW. I won't get in the final votes probably, but I said I would do more of these once the exams were over and ta-dah! Here we have a sketch.

    @§Hy9oD: Thank you! Yeah, it's something completely different, isn't it XD

    AND THEN DRAWING HAPPENED.
    I don't know why (prob music) but I had a sudden burst of drawing. Nothing finished yet, but I wanted to share. All poses are referenced!

    I should probably draw less.
    (Just kidding.)

    Good stuff, but I think it's time to draw some men too once in a while!

    @Highelf: Indeed, and I followed your advice. A bit. XD I have men scheduled though! I have this whole training schedule for the vacation, haha.

    Daily practice! I noticed that I went to the line too much, so I needed some painting/values practice. All of these are immediately set up in values. Still needs work, but I'm already happy with what I did here. More to come the next days, I'm liking this more than I would expect. Also, as a kind-of-première, I think - A MAN IN MY SKETCHBOOK. Two of them even. /fail

    Definitely not bad. These kinda practise sheets are great sport, at that rate you'll better very quickly! I can see some proportion issues (again will better fast with practise like this) but in case you aren't aware of it, you may want to look up the method of "triangulation", it really helps when copying a reference image. I always found it a pity I "found out" about it very late, its definitely a fun/easier way to think when copying an image.

    @Highelf: Wow, that looks really interesting. I'm going to look a bit more into it and then try it (I'm slow at really getting things, haha). Are there any sites you can recommend? I googled a bit and found some stuff, but you never know.

    @Goosebump: Thank you!

    Sorry for not posting a lot recently. I feel kind of stuck at drawing lately and I'm hoping that it'll get back. I'll have to do more studies I guess 8D

    First one was a short study, second and third are part of a drawing session me and a friend of mine did. We picked Hunter as a theme. The third drawing is still a WIP.

    Oo someone loves to draw girls As one female enthusiast to another your females are looking quite nice. Some slight anatomy issues here and there but those will be correct in time with continued study. You already have a sense of style for your approach so your girls stand out. The character designs remind me of Final Fantasy a lot. I think your at the point now when you can start exploring other subject matter. Environments, creatures, males. I was in your same shoes where I had to force myself to draw anything other then girls but I've found that it's really improved my design factor and sensitivity to the female form by exploring other subjects. Any who keep up the good work

    @Ninjac: Thanks for the word of advice. I'm trying to do more new stuff, but I'm buried with work for my retakes (I have five of them) and drawing is at the moment restricted to after-midnight-sessions and I tend to go to my comfort zone then XD I'll try putting up some environment studies when my schedule is a bit more loose. I really want to be able to do environments.

    Quick update. I've been listening to this non-stop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_2Z32qCYBg (NSFW!)

    very nice sketchbook. Its inspiring me to work on my figure drawing much more. Ive noticed that we are exact opposites when it comes to weak points.

    You have a very strong eye for figures and their poses, but lack in the area of portraits and lighting. I guess all i can say is look at some photos on the net, concepts or photos from flickr is always a good source.

    Take them and convert them to black and white photos and analyze the lighting on the figure, you'd be amazed at how much darkness is in a photo and how little middle tone their really is, especially on a figure

    I think its more interesting when a dark object is against a very light tone, it seems to give it more three dimensional shapes.

    Also, something i learned in my painting class, vary your soft edges and sharp edges, generally the sharp edges will make people's eyes lead to it, even if it has little detail in the area.

    I guess my only two cents! Oh and keep posting the costumes! Where do you study your costumes, i need to learn to draw them better.

    @Morte: Thank you very much, I am definitely going to try all that out! And I don't really study the costumes anywhere, I mostly come up with them myself. I get most of my inspiration through tumblr when it comes to certain design elements but I don't really take reference for something.

    Oooookay, so it has been more than a month! Damn, I missed it here! With parents locking me away for retakes I have hardly had the chance to draw, so nothing really interesting happened, sadly. I wish I had more time to draw before the new semester starts. I'm going to jump on some more practice today since looking back now I'm not very happy with what I did in general.

    I'm going to work more on my painterly stuff and try some environments when I get myself back together =m=

    Studies. Did some perspectives because I think I need more of those. Doing some males too but got too tired and had to quit. It was a tiresome day, started out great and gradually got worse. Oh well. Hoping to grind some drawings tomorrow.

    Nice studies - your figures' proportions are looking really good. And - on top of that - the figures are not looking stiff. hehe

    @Snyder: Thank you! Looked at your sketchbook again and now I'm inspired to do some more studies on separate body parts again. Any tips for good refs besides posemaniacs and lovecastle? I have to put more effort into being able to pose when not given reference. My self-made poses always look bad.

    Small update!

    God, it's been such a long time! I've been drawing a lot but never felt like I improved, so I was afraid of posting here again. I realized I had been stuck in a rut and now I want to keep on drawing. I also joined a group that focuses on certain parts of the body every so many weeks so that I'll improve more - there will be loads of hands incoming, haha. I'll post some characters (females again, I have no excuse!) and if I get to scanning my A3 pages I'll also be posting some studies of a belly-dancer.

    Hey, I dig your character designs, all of them are interesting.

    Tho some of the digital stuff looks blurry...add texture and pay attention to line weight.

    It's been a while! I have some stuff waiting to be scanned but I never seem to get to actually do that. So here's a study I did in Photoshop! I haven't painted in ages and I've never been a very good painter, so I'm hoping to do more studies to actually improve. Concrit much appreciated, I need it!

    Enormous update. After a lecture from a game artist, I humbled myself a little and went back to studying more daily.
