Hi, just wanted to show you guys the Arnold bust I've been working on. He's just about done, but the base has yet to be sorted.
Thanks
Al

i never would've attempted hard surface sculpting with super sculpey, great handling there. nice texturing as well
Damn those textures and pores. I will always admire sculptors greatly.

Thanks, Dana. I had a look at your work and I more than greatly admire what you do. I used to draw a lot, but I never had command of the human form, or the diversity of style etc, as you have. With the skills you possess, if you so desired, you could sculpt, no doubt about it. Even your doddles are beautiful.
Al
really amazing! all the details are fantatstic, love the skin and hair!
please, post the painted pics on here, Id love to see this all done!
Earhole Bongsplat
That's amazing, really really good. I love the terminator and this is probably the best sculpt I've seen. Fantastic!
That's phenomenal. Perfect likeness. Love the texture. It's a great piece of work.
AWESOME JOB !!! Everything it's PERFECT! Congrats , Alaneye. Thanks for sharing

This is fantastic!
It looks like something I'd buy from a toy shop with 12 inch figures.
The bullet holes are amazing.
It's looking Killer!! This should definitely open up some doors of opportunity for you. Keep it up.
Cheers!!
Alfred
Outstanding work.
Thanks for the comments guys. Alfred, thanks for dropping by and I very much appreciate your kind words.

Great work, amazing detail!
Did you work at it at once, or did you bake certain parts before adding them?
How do you get all the parts in there without getting fingerprints on it, or squishing it while adding it to the sculpt?
Also, how big is the sculpt? Can you put in a comparison shot with anything we know?
Keep it up, looking forward to more work from you.
Holy shit this looks TOO GOOD! T2 is one of my favs, if not my absolute favorite movie! The scope, action, and character development were so good not to mention the sfx!
This bust looks EXACTLY like Arnold from the movie! Im not sure if Ive ever seen such a good likeness of someone in sculpture form.
Hi, thanks for looking. Yeah, I worked it all at once. I did squish parts from time to time, but the whole thing is on a base with a piece of pipe running into the back so you can hold it without touching it.
The sculpture is 1/3 scale and here is a pic of it beside a UK 0.33L coke can (I believe US cans are a bit bigger)
Al
Thanks, likeness is a funny thing and actually varies. I grabbed lots of frames from the film and Arnold's features seem to change throughout. I wanted the look from the beginning of the film in the diner carpark. Sometimes I think I got it, other times I feel it's off lol

Make copies of it. It's definitely something I would love to be on my computer desk![]()
did you do the robot skull first or just doing them altogether??
very very nice btw!
Hi Keith, yeah, I did them all together... here are earlier work in progress pictures of him as I struggled with the likeness.
