conceptually all images are exceptional, i liked the John Cotton image too much, these new oils rocks tooooooo!!!
EDIT: guys please rate this thread!
some really awesome stuff here. you're really good.
Good stuff. My favorites are the first and the last. That first one is especially gorgeous. The movement of the color across the piece is great. I also like how the mist in the last piece is like a spiderweb.
Masterful work! Many styles are mastered. Keep your original thoughts and paint them, you know well how to tell the message.

wow ... great work! I totally dig the jon cotton one ... it has a beautiful intense warmth in its colour-scheme. The only thing I would have done different is giving the sky a bright satuarated blue gradient which would have been the cherry on top of the colour-intensity ^^ ... but thats just me (and my faible for the yellow-blue combination)
Sony, Rivenis, Ccs, vhbaske7, lord regenschirm, thanks so much!
Some recent work.

Great stuff !!!!! I liked " Climb," a lot and I agree there is somthing about the
" John Cotton" one, I think it is the wheat, all nice and loose. All are good work.
Mah ' Crub
Wow, absolutely phenomenal! Loving all of these works, and closely looking at how you may have executed some of them too.

I really like all your pieces but by far my favorite is Immovable it looks really cool![]()
These are all great, especially The Plains. There's a magnificent sense of utter bleakness, and the lighting is masterfully done.
wow gorgeous work wow
some are very conceptualy speaking, like, sad, but the drawing is strong
Holy Shit, you've gotten soo much better!!! Even from a year ago, I see huge advancement!

Great, great work. Lots of energy in each piece. Cant wait to see what you're putting out in a years' time when you're technique is really solidifying! Soon-to-come masterworks.

juliuslim, I almost exclusively use flat bristle brushes of various sizes (most of them Robert Simmons). Occasionally I break out a tiny round sable, or a flat mongoose brush, but rarely.
Just finished working on this guy. Stopped, really. I could probably noodle it forever. It's 18X24", oil on panel.

Nice stuff. I really like "unarmed". I don't know if this is a critique or what, but I keep wanting a wider view. Most of these are very compositionally tight and maybe some more room to breath would be good sometimes. Or maybe the intimacy is why they work. Anyway, just my thoughts.
