Coldhands! Man I would love to see that painting finished. Looks like a great start, really like the comp and feel of it. The only thing I could think of changing would be bringing the light slightly higher so it peels over the top of the trees behind him and gives him a direct light. But I dunno, I really like the feel of it now so you probably shouldnt listen to me, just want to see more!

Top notch color and great edgework. Really nice custom brushes on those digital paintings, too. Are they all your own creations?

Pundt: Thanks! I'll try and finish it in coming weekend. I haven't even looked at it since I posted it here, so that when I have time to work on it again I can (hopefully) see it with fresh eyes.
    Thanks for your comment!

Z01ks: thanks. Oh heck no. My brushes consist mostly of Jaime Jones brushes, supplemented by various fine art type brushes that I have picked up whereever I come across them.
I do have few of my own creations in there as well but they really are a minority.

I love your brushwork. Comparing your stuff from the beginning of the sketchbook to the more recent studies your strokes have really loosened up a lot and for the better. It really adds a lot more atmosphere and whatnot. Your portrait studies have really improved too, though I'd love to see more actual figure studies like you do with the Sargent portraits!

Very nice use of textured brushes, your use of them makes your works strong.
Great economy in strokes as well. Damn man you make me feel lazy! Thanks for that.

your sketch and texture is amazing, how you control the economy of the brushstroke? because i'm always tempted to make it soft

    Psychobuddy: cool! Keep watching then.

    Kevin: Aye aye sir!

    Nina-the-Tiny: Thanks! will do.

    Gpozzo: Thanks!

    revenebo: thanks!

    timo: them sexy brushstrokes. Thanks!

Harmageddon: Get to work you lazy bum!

Matindas: thanks. Honestly I think it's just mostly about trying to figure out what is the most efficient/simplest way to paint something.
that often involves a biggest brush you can get a way with and direction of your brush stroke.

    Sketsies.
Really trying to confront my troubles with perspective head-on. Hence the armored vehicles. To be hones, I have never been musch of a machine/car person.
That stuff just never interested me, but I feel like I need to draw things where perspective is something you just can't ignore.
