The self improving thread 2

Hi guys. I'm starting this SB to improve my drawing and painting skills. My main goals are improvement on anatomy, perspective, lighting, sense of weight and expressivenes. I want to add a new dimension to my paintings! Feel free to leave yor crits, comments, tips, paintovers, etc. I really want to be a better artist!

So, there goes some paintings I did on last month. Hope you like them.

This is my attempt to make a flat anime figure turn into something 3d. I'm using the DS-Tan as my subject (Unfortunately, I don't know who was the artist that drew her):

k2mountain, Mila, Jesus Food, Leroy Oosterling, AliceA, Marco, marcotronic, kvalliant, iCreate: Thanks guys, I'm really happy with your feedback. I always post my steps because when I started on digital painting, some years ago, I realized how useful they are for begginers. Some steps I caught on the web clarify a lot of things to me, and now, I try to make my part, leting everybody knows how I did.

@AliceA: If you don't understand the steps, feel free to ask, it will be a pleasure to help.

Your portraits are awesome! And you've got a great understanding of light and colors in you paintings. And those step by step drawings are extremely valuable.

How long are you painting/drawing, may I ask?

Thanks for the comments, fellows, I feel really happy with them.
@MrMagic: I draw since I was a child, it's almost 30 years. Painting I've been doing since I was 18, I think. I used to paint with gouache and acrylics on paper. But since 2004, I've been doing just digital painting, it's much more easy and efficient in my opinion.

Before I finish the blonde girl, I had a break to make my hommage to the awesome movie Black Swan. I watched yeasterday, and it hit my soul deeply. Natalie Portman it's brilliant, and I hope this movie receive all prizes it deserves. It's a masterpiece, in my opinion.
