Working on my art exam, I'm looking at the concept album crack the skye by mastodon which looks and astral projection and rasputin, I need to reference some artists, so far i have Paul Romano who did the art for the album, but does anyone know any russian style artists, or even if there is a distinct style. Or any artists that look at space, astral projection, russian landscapes (late 1800's) spirit realms etc.?

Other good searches would be Symbolists, Visionary Art and basically the terms you already mentioned coupled with art.

I already have done quite a bit of resaerch, but seeing as I'm only 16 i don't know every artist or style. Who's to say i would ever find particular artists others know alot about.
