Damn, your newest portrait is so much better than the others. Good job!

AllyAlbon Thank you very much
Ramalooke Thanks bro, to be honest it still looks nothing like me so i still have a long way to go. I'll get there eventually ;p
Trying to do more stuff from imagination, plus i have some stuff i'm working on to try building some sort of portfolio so that will come soon also.
Mooooooooooore Loomis studies plus applied loomis imagination studies
Quick swamp studies related to piece im working on

Insect dude.
No studies as such, just abit random stuff from imagination

character which im thinkin of callin done, because ive spent too much time on it and lost motivation with it. Thanks to Dan Warren and John Silva for their help during the process.
Workin on alot of imagination stuff at the mo, but heres just a study from this evening, for old times sake.
Had time to reflect tonight on this year, and how fast its gone. Merry christmas folks.
small update before bed,
crappy sketchy face thing
santa study
value study
gonna post more imagination stuff and sketchbook tomorrow. Ive been wanting to do more concept art/ illustration stuff, but speed and imagination stuff dont work well fro me. Need to find new ways of working...
Great Portraits on your sketchbook, but hand on those environments, they're awesome as well!
I think that the year 2011 was very huge for your
art career. You made some incredible improvements
thanks to your dedication and to your hard work.
Massive updates with a lot effort put into them, simply
amazing. This would be the part where I should put in
some advice, but generally you are doing everything so
I know that you are also reading books and following
other tutorials, I guess then nothing can go wrong.
If I have to mention something, that would be the mistake
of rendering things out before they are the right proportion.
This is a mistake that I am also doing after a lot of training.
The foundation MUST be good before you go into rendering.
Plenty of your portraits have issues with the eyes. I know
it is very difficult to draw/paint two eyes with almost the
same attributes. It's tricky and it requires a lot of practice.
I saw some of them solved this with digital art by copy/pasting
and flipping the first painted eye.
Bottom line is that you are still young and if you keep up this
attitude and work ethic the sky will be the limit for you.
So I hope that you had a nice Christmas and that you
are enjoying your holidays. Keep on working hard and take care.
thedestroyer Cheers man, environments are something i know very little about and need to study more, thanks for your compliments
LtPlissken Thanks for the lengthy crit man! Your right of course, and focusing on getting my base solid before rendering is something ill work on. Faces have always been my weakness, which is why ive probably grown an obsession with drawing them constantly 0_o.
So much has happened this year, and yet its gone so fast, i just want to get beter, and do this for a living, that is my goal and desire. Thanks again man, and i hope your xmas was a good one also
Sorry for the crappy quality of these drawings, i took them with my camera instead of scanning them for speed. I just want to show that ive not been lazy with my pencils over xmas period, and have gone back to the beginnings on drawing figures.
Oh, and also a swamp elder illustration for the crimson daggers challenge.
Cool stuff mate. Your rendering is improving, maybe try working more on composition and design. You may find this resource usefull http://www.cgsociety.org/index.php/C...ition_tutorial keep pushing. it's always very inspirational to view your sketchbook. cheers!

taking the risk to sound repetitive, I have to say there is an incredible improvement from the beginning to that point. The studies are paying off a lot, man. Love to see that massive posts full of hard work. I´d like to see some more fantasy stuff taken to a finished and detailed state, just to see how far you can push yourself.
all the best!
Ramalooke That link is awesome, i new nothing of this before now ;p so thanks for sharing that. And thanks for your constant support dude, if i can inspire others to push further thats awesome, it works both ways
Ricardo Robles Hey man, thanks for looking through my work and the inspirational words. I'll try and push more finished stuff to a beter quality. Hopefully one day i'll get my stuff lookin as awesome as yours
A couple of bits to start the year, sketchbook stuff can wait. Studys plus random doodle i got bored with =/

Man I just browsed these 6 pages, you got real good, the last autoportraits are vivid and clear shaped, with more acurate tones and colors. Nice job, and your studies are quite thorough too. Keep it up, and thanks for your comment on my page!
All the best,
Panshi
loved the self portraits. keep up the good work, also I will suggest if you can do some Chiaroscuro studies. will help a lot!![]()
Velocity Kendall Thanks alot for dropping by my sketchbook again man, and cheers for the compliment. I need to work on my environment stuff more often.
Panshi Coming from yourself that means alot! I want my stuff beter more than anything, and its really inspiring getting feedback, both positive and negative. Thanks man, all the best to yourself too.
viscuswalor Thanks man, i'll do one of those master studies probably this weekend! Thanks for the tip.
LtPlissKen Thanks again man for your support! My digital painting still feels like a great weakness of mine, and i hope to keep improving it. Best wishes to yourself also
Some more wonky portrait pencil studies
I'm trying something different too, speedy film stills to work on my composition, mood and rendering, these suck but i learnt bits from them i guess...
been studying lots of torsos, heres a few -_-
more personal shit to come at a later date
It was a very intense 6 pages to look at... You work so much! Nice stuff, I loved the animals/creatures the most because they are the best IMO but your portrait rendering skills improved a lot too and the figures are very nice to look at as well.
Motivating SB, I need to work much much more![]()
very cool studys man!you`re improving very well
keep on!

You've got some great progression as well, Your portraits are becoming more accurate in their proportions and loving those pencil sketches. Great landscape work as well. Keep rockin, mate!
Art is not about competing against others and being better than everyone else, but it is about competing against yourself and discovering your greatest potential!Sketchbook

shiNIN Thank you, yeah i love doing creatures and characters, i feel theres still loads of weaknesses in my stuff, hopefully it'll improve more this year
htkpeh Thanks man! I'll do my best to keep pushin and improving.
Rob Powell Thanks Rob ;D
Been doin stuff but most is complete shit, so heres a few little bits. Gonna be trying more unfamiliar stuff soon, which means most stuff will be getting worse.
Studys
Crap failed imagination thing >_<
You see, you perform much better when you
do valued black and white digital paintings, rather
than when you jump straight into colors. So
I suggest that you do more value studies.
Anatomy is a bit off on the naked lady, especially
the shoulder area, maybe do more anatomy studies.
Your pencil work lack contrast. Do you use
different softness pencils, like 2B -6B, if not
try them, and vary your pencil pressure.
Sorry for being a bit more critic, but I am
just aiming to help.
Keep on rolling.
Great improvement, really inspiring. Just keep pushin like you do ;3 I feel so pumped that I'm gonna do a study right now! xD
JOKERRR!!!
All of these things, I love it, I have nothing to say tho :o
The link is right there, its ok to press. Any help/advice is appreciated.
LtPlissken No apologies man, the crits are much appreciated, i agree with all of them, thanks again for your support!
Ramalooke haha, thanks alot man, gotta keep pushin! Thanks as always for your constant support and inspiration.
KateTheTerrorist Thanks! ;D
its been a while, heres a dump of stuff -
Sketchbook stuff, loomis, hampton, applied imagination
studies stuff for random character dude
random character dude
i want to finish a c.o.w! heres the wip
Thanks for visiting my Sketchbook.
Those hampton studies look solid man, you've alsom captured some colors in that recent studies really well. Stars from ICE!
Ooh your enviros are looking very nice. The only thing I'd say is study your anatomy more (I also need to do this) as this will really sell your characters and creatures
Icecold Thanks alot man! The ratings are much appreciated, and really does mean alot to hear this, thanks again.
GEB Your dead right dude, i will work harder on the anatomy! It seems ive drawn literally thousands of figures last year and i still suck at them. Your work is awesome, and you've been an inspiration of mine for ages now, thanks alot for looking through my work.
LtPlissken Cheers again man! Ive been working on line alot but i keep in mind your crit about contrast, and i'll work to improve it soon! Cheers for the compliments on the study, cloth is an complete bitch to paint, and i need to work on it much more. Thanks as always man
Quick film still study to practice colour and for fun.
Recent COW entry which i don't think is complete, i'll probably end up working on it some more.
Love the COW. You could push the tail of the creature into the back with atmospheric perspective. Great job and awesome imrpvement. Keep pushing. Cheers!
Ramalooke Thanks man! I'm not too sure how to do atmospheric perspective ;D I'll do studies or something soon to figure it out, many some environments or something.
Shitty update, sorry for the lame stuff, ive been struggling abit, i don't seem to get as much done these days, and it feels like i'm on that downward slope again. Anyways...
Speedy still life fail study -_-
Underwater environment study i did for the cow a while back
creature study, followed by imagination creature doodle thing.
