I really like this piece. I keep coming back to it to see the layers upon layers of detailing but for me what really sets it apart is the visor. That is the kicker as I will always imagine what is in her eyes. Very cool.

    Movies

Here's another piece done using custom brushes in Corel Painter for the same Masterclass students as Robot Bride. For those who have so far downloaded movies I thank you and especially those of you who emailed me positive comments. Makes it all worthwhile.

I'd be interested to know what other movie tutorials fantasy and SF students would wish for, what skills they feel are not being taught in the schools the attend.

    Looking forward to your comments.

    Best regards,

Have just purchased Carnival 3000AD and looking forward to the email containing links to the awesome Robot Bride vids. Thanks very much for that offer Patrick.

What a wonderful contrast of styles between your first post and your last, Deathstalker has that great old school oils look that so many people today think isnt possible on the computer. That you can do that and create something as contemporary as Robot Bride aswell is truly inspiring.

Enquiring about that Masterclass in Brisbane as well, hopefully it has yet to happen

    Frankenstein

Here is Frankenstein with close ups. Newborn Contest winner Asia Pacific region. A lot of positive feedback went with this one and I thank all who sent me their views, and of course Conceptart.org for running the show. Here are some close ups.

    That Frankenstein is ridiculous.

Your ability to universally apply paint is something that I admire. Whether it be digital or traditional you've got a good knowledge of it. I like the thought that painting is the same general idea no matter what medium you're using and I think you're a wonderful example of that.

You're also providing some of your knowledge for an affordable price. Creating 50 pages of a book and then selling it online as an e-book (or whatever you want to call it) instead of a (maybe overblown priced) $50 book is really great for those of us trying to make our way. $50 is 1/8 of my rent. $8 is 1/50 of my rent. Now I can live AND learn, just like the saying.

What I'm saying is when I'm no longer poor I've got to buy me one of those. Thanks man- you're one hell of an inspiration and you should know how helpful what you do is.

Thanks Eric, much appreciated! I like your retro avatar btw.

The movies and downloadable books where originally created as an affordable resource for my Sf & Fantasy Masterclass students ( they are based on my live Masterclass lectures and demos ), but it's great to get emails from students all over the world who are now benefitting from the original idea.

I wish you good luck with your art.

    Hi Moof,

I assume you mean render as an old school term for painting rather than 3D render, as this is all 2D work done mostly in Corel Painter, and I thank you.

Had a look at your site. Nice work.

Freakin' awesome, I believe I have a new favorite artist. Btw, the promo code doesn't seem to be working, at checkout I enter it but it keeps saying the code isn't found.

    Hi Stabby,

    Great to hear, thanks!

Thanks for your order too, you only need to enter 'robot promo' in the note box after you click checkout for this offer, it's not a code, just a note, so don't worry we have your order pending. Once you process payment and it clears through Paypal/pjartworks you will be able to download Carnival 3000AD and a unique download link and code will follow for the free robot movies.
Basically; the system automates and codes kick in, once Paypal funds clear.

    Enjoy the movies!
    Best regards,
    P.
