wow some of these are good. I would suggest that you shrink the images so they are clearer to view. Also may I recommend you use a pen as you will get a stronger bolder line. keep up the good work
lookin nice man, some of the proportions are a little off but that problem will be fixed just by drawing more. some of your lips look ok and some look a little eh.
but that'll be fixed with practice too.
This took me forever to make, but i sense that drawing gets a little bit faster everytime so it was worth it. Some obvious things wrong here but that should go away with more xp.
lookin alright, head practice looks like it is from hogath. body practice is good too. very nice. don't foget to draw darker. (i don't wamt you to fall into the same trap as me.
I did some sketches today on the train, felt like i should post all of them just to give the best picture of what i am up to instead of posting just the ones that look kind of decent. Seeing how i struggled with the leg and train view it makes me want to practice drawing from life since what i learned from it was a lot more then copying bridgeman for an hour would.
Drawing from life is always better than copying.![]()
the last piece in my last update was an observational from life(shameless plug).
but you are definitely in the right mindset man, keep it up and you'll be good in no time.
Your hand drawings are good but your people need work(it is understandable though since people do move).
Oh and i have a question, did you draw in blue with a pencil or did you use a pen?
@Geo: the blue ones are with pen. Ill go check out your portrait for today now.
My first portrait ever, im pretty happy with the result.
Edit: i have now included my portrait for day 2.
Lol drawing but whatever.
Edit: portrait 3 now included. 60 sec posemaniacs, my hand and also my first attempt at drawing nature/glass. Also a copy from the movie 300 maybe ill come back to it later to finish it up.

i missed one portrait, didnt have time so i will do an extra one sometime.
Man these are a step up from the portraits you had previously.
i do enjoy looking at the 1st portrait of your last post versus the 2nd one. there is just something about the linework in the 1st that i like.
@nightmare: I think, i will start doing studys of loomis and bridgeman again.
@geo: Yeah i like it a lot myself, especially the two hands and this portrait. I hope i can expand on this style eventually.
Your defiantly getting better! Keep at it. Though some of your stuff is a little light with out many darks. I recommand doing some shadows and stuff with a softer pencil.

just an update, have been slacking on drawing. ''i think'' due to getting demotivated from drawing on the right side of the brain by betty edwards. Although the theory was very usefull, the exercises just turned out so much worse then my previous drawings. Also the gaming addiction has popped up again.
Shading is scary.
good work on anatomy! And I like the handstudies. YOu followed the forms very well with your shading in those drawings
bla bla ?
I am going back to the normal contrast setting for my scanner, making the paper look gray isnt portraying the way it looks irl even if it might be light.

some examples of how im doing figure studies right now, hopefully i can post some life figure drawings soon. 30 sec posemaniacs, some 2 min and 60 sec.
Also switched to pen to increase confidence with lines.
Drawing hands is my comfort zone i think, need to work more on shading, perspective and life drawing after i get to the last page of michael hampton.
Some obvious anatomy mistakes, like lower legs on last page and some upper bodys are too long.
Hey man, looking good!
I think there's clear improvement between your first sketches and these last ones, so it feels like you're heading in the right direction. You're obviously very good at drawing hands already, so you might learn more by focusing your attention on other subjects? (I guess that's kind of the same conclusion you arrived at as well)

Today its three months ago that i started drawing. Im pretty optimistic about the future if i look back at the past months.

I really like the drawing of the girl, especially the cut-off one to the right, haha ;D
Is it pencil or graphite or something else? How did you get those heavy black lines?
I'm just a noob, but judging from what others have said I think it's really good that you use those swirly, wave "S"-lines; it makes the figure look very dynamic and alive![]()

I am trying to make a good portrait of myself so any words of advice are really appreciated.
I think this is my best self portrait yet, Not sure i should go back and work on it more. It seems unfinished in some places. But that means trying to figure out wich position i was in at the time and the lighting might be different too.
