Loving your work, you have a good sense for values and a nice painting style. One stipulation- sometimes the proportions of your heads seem off e.g. eyes not lining up, heads being too long in length and not being in proportion to the body. I'm sure with practice, you'll improve in no time.

BTW I think your photo studies are brill, they look like paintings but also pull off a sense of realism. Keep it up

Silent-samurai87: haha yeah I'm slowly beginning to like drawing girls

Hunin: yeah head proportion is a big problem for me, that's what happens when you draw stylized for years before beginning realism.

    Ghast: thanks man!

    Color studies! c:

did the first one while streaming, it was my first time, it was fun! tho I was really nervous through it.

I love that team fortress pic! The expression on the girl's face is priceless, and the concept is just too cute. :3
Your studies are getting more and more hectic, I'm loving the way you're treating the colour, and I take back my comment on the stylizing, what you're doing looks amazing how it is, and the character you add really gives it the extra punch.

    This is looking really promising!

I think it's a good exercise drawing lot's of sculls from photos to understand and draw the head correctly. Also I love the rendering on the last one :3 It looks sharp and crisp, which adds photo realism.

And maybe look into some nose shapes, the nose might be a bit thin.

Anyways, keep on drawing, as i said in the beginning, it looks really promising. Looks like you've made ton's of progress since you started posting here, so keep at it.

Your studies are beautiful and i can see that you have a great eye for painting. one thing i would suggest is to not paint from blobs like that (at least not at this point). I would recommend doing thorough contour-drawings and then painting over them. The reason is because i see a huge difference between the quality and maturity of your studies and your illustrations. I believe this is because you arnt getting the maximal understanding of whats going on in your studies!

Just a suggestion. i hope it helps!

In your studies, remember that the most important thing is "Why", not "What"

you are fantastic. love the portraits!

Buy a really cheap notebook and doodle in it. There's where you come up with ideas. And don't post anything from it on CA or anywhere. But draw in it every day at least 1 hr.

just a small update, I have decided to widen my horizon of drawing this year by drawing a lot of stuff I normally wouldn't draw, so I'm starting up with some animals. I still don't own a scanner T__T
