You and only you, with your own sincere self-discipline, and effort, can make yourself an artist.
Keep up the good work but I'd like to see some finished drawings and not just sketches.
Make sure and switch it up because studies can get super boring if you do those every day.

Keep it up man, you can really see an improvement from your earlier stuff.
What resources are you using for your perspective/light stuff?

If you have the time please show me some love and +watch or come by and check out my progress and crit me!
snippet: Thanks mate, maybe you'll find something finished in this wave)
Jaik: Really?Well, i like to hear! For light resource i have nothing, just informations from web (often google.com) and drawing-tutorials-online.com (cost money, but for 1$ you can lurk the site for 10days, after it's a bit expensive. There is alot usefulness). Yesterday i ordered book called Light for Visual Artists: Understanding & Using Light in Art & Design
About the perspective, you can find pretty much on the net, check this http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/to...rawings-basix/ But i use diffrent source, book called Vanishing Point: Perspective for Comics from the Ground Up
Hope these help.
Thanks guys!

those abstractions of the bones look very interesting. i'm also just a newbie and try to improve and this approach looks very promising as a way to learn how the bones interact. keep it up!
sorry for the bump effect.

Hey eclip-se,
it's cool how passionate you do your figure studies! You have fun with it don't you?
Keep working, but it's a very good start into working in the industry!
Cheers
Some more cool stuff man, good to see you're keeping at it. I was so intrigued by the peanut shapes, it took me a decent 10minutes of googling to find a short video on it. But I get it now and I think its a useful tool

Hey, I'm no expert but be careful with those proportions; for example, the eyes are always halfway between the chin and the top of the forehead. You may wanna check these sites:
Basics and other useful stuff:

Very useful poses:

And just keep practicing and have fun!

It's great if you have fun doing studies, but don't you ever feel like just drawing something from your mind once in a while, for fun? I know people have said that before to you. Maybe you feel like you need more foundation knowledge to do that. But I don't think that is an obstacle and I would at least give it a try if I were you.
But hey, studies are important, so as long as you keep at them you'll be improving anyway.
one suggestion would be to try and recreate simple shapes of the form itself before going into the details. for example, a head has two simple shapes to being with, an oval and a square (for the chin part). once you establish the shapes in a correct proportion and size, then it'll be much more easier to go into detail from there.
other than that, great work! i like your effort - and if you do like comics, try to imitate different artists' work. it helped me with my foundational figure drawing skills!
CarbonBased: Ok, ill try spend a day just with drawing from mind, without any refrence or copying something
abalaich: Thanks man! Ganz & Berserk favorite, ill try that!
UPDATE:
This time i tried to use diffrent pencil holding (D) on the gestures, all poses done from pixolovely ,animals and insects are 2min also.
c&c welcome, thanks.![]()
