I used to have a Canoscan Lide 25. I never liked it. Scanning mostly greyscale pencil drawings it was always annoying to get something scanned remotely resembling the original drawing (shading wise etc. - parts of the drawing appeared lighter than others once scanned but not on paper for example).
I did a search of these forums and saw some old threads were people were recommending the Lide 100. Can someone comment on how it is for scanning complete pencil drawings? (That is, not just sketches to be edited with GIMP/PS/etc. later.)
Also, does anyone know if there's a considerable different between the Lide 100 and Lide 110? I'm not looking to spend a whole lot, but there also doesn't seem to be much of a difference in the price of the 100 and 110. Reading the specs, I'm thinking the only difference might be the scanning speed (honestly not a big deal at all).
