You got great emotion and gesture going on, but you should pay more attention to the placement of facial features, especially eyes that are often very misplaced and/or cross-eyed.

Thanks...I actually *do* spend a fair amount of time working from the model (there's some older examples on my website, although I haven't updated that part in about a year.) My goal with these, though, was to try and capture the psychology and narrative of a particular scene---basically, to get the story and not worry quite so much about how well the forms read.

I suppose going forward I should put more time in and try to buff all the forms out a bit more.

Giacomo, your pages look clean and interpretative and I like them. Your goal to get comfortable by trying to capture the narrative is already showing. Just keep up and enjoy. Great thing about all this is that you are challenging your brain and constantly practicing.
As previously mentioned, sharpen your eye for the facial features.

This is probably a silly question, but whats your process when you're sketching from TV shows? I usually do something similar when I'm watching TV, but nowhere near the level of completion you do (I have loads of fuzzy geature drawings and sketchings that I work on until I hit another interesting scene)

I watch the movies on my computer and I screen-cap the frames that I want to sketch from. Each of the sketches I posted above is about three or four hours' work.

Giacomo, you really have some fun stuff posted here. Love the idea of doing studies from movie/tv show scenes. I might have to give that a try myself. Maybe it will help with the stiffness of my drawings.
